I think that we all know how much the impact of media on people's opinions and thoughts but i didnt realize how big and tricky it is really. Many times i got surprised and even shocked of alot of people's questions and answers here which are full of incorrect and misunderstanding things about Islam and Muslims -as a Muslim-.

I realized that the media is full of covered racisists and hypocrites people showing only the side of picture they want if its really existed on the first place.and they really make me sick when they describe themselves or when they cover their actions on the name of neutralization, unprejudiced and freedom but actually they blow their poisons on most of the facts and unfortunatelly mislead alot of people.
P.S. i dont generalize and i dont put the full blame ofcourse.

I am 27, y/o gay man live in Iraq, in a country with no gay rights, no respect to gays and more than that we get killed for being gays.
What's your advice to GLBT's in a third world country like Iraq?

When I hear fundamentalists, whether they are Christians or Muslims, spewing hatred for other people: gays, "infidels", other religions, I think, wow, the Devil is really a smart cookie, he's got all these people doing his dirty work. All he had to do was tell them he was God.

Every religon out there also believes in a hell?
Like Job he wanted to go to hell so God would hide him from his anger, ?? So why believe in a false teaching?

It seems to be a waning a bit, but still, in hundreds of thousands of churches around the USA (I'm not positive about Europe, though I'd doubt it; they seem to have more sense) people pray, sing hymns and even sometimes address each other or "rebuke Satan" in Elizabethan English.

It's sometimes almost as if they believe God would prefer to be addressed in that manner. I've heard "tradition" as an answer, but it'd seem to me that modern Christians wouldn't want to hearken back to the days when members of their faith committed some of the worst atrocities in world history.

I've also heard it said that somehow it shows respect and reverence to God by recognizing the weight of years between then and now and the great impact the King James Bible had on the world; indeed, the oldest known book in print still intact is a King James Bible. It also separates matters of Scripture from secular matters, which could also be construed as a show of respect.

But isn't it a wee bit silly?

My girl told me before we started to date she had a crush with a lesb girl she was hangin around when she was 16, she's 24 now and that girl its her best friend now, she had a boyfriend then, and she told him and he helped her to forget that feeling 'bout her, once this girl stopped talking with my girl, and it made her so sad, it was weird to see her crying 'cause her friend didn't talk to her, I've found comments in blog pages where my girl is like flirting with other girls, and in her myspace she has a lot of lesbian contacts, n' sometimes when we go out I'v noticed she watch a lot other girls, hot girls, i mean a strange stare, what would you think? is she still Bi??
