Camilla and Charles met at a polo match in 1970. A year later, Charles went into the Navy and in 1973 Camilla married Andrew Parker Bowles. In the early 70's, Camilla would not have been considered suitable marriage material for Prince Charles, due to her lifestyle at that time. (or so it has been reported). I think their love has lasted, not only because of the obvious chemistry between them, but because they have so many common interests. She also appears to be a very strong-minded and intelligent woman, which is the type of woman Charles seems to need - a friend as well as a lover. They appear to be a good match and it was a great shame that so much heartbreak and disaster had to come in those intervening years.

i have absolutely no interest in that woman
she was nicknamed ' the rottweiller' by Diana and i think that suits her perfectly
when Edward VIII wanted to marry a divorcee he had to choose between the throne and the woman he loved, because it would not have been acceptable for a divorced woman to be queen
and she wasnt even to cause of any marriage break up !!!
so how come they can change the rules for charlie.
let them get on with it i spose.......... but they should just have gone away and got on with it

She is a strong outgoing mummy type and he is a conservative eclectic. They fill the opposites in each others personalities. With Charles abd Dianna they brought out the child in both of them which resulted in the fighting.
"Jack Spratt could eat no fat, his wife could eat no lean, so between them both they kept their platters clean."
I like her very much.

I think they've known each other since the 70's.
I think their "love" lasted for so long because she was a great mistress to him.
