1. “As the spirit of man is not composed of material elements, it is not subject to decomposition and, therefore, has no death. It is self-evident that the human spirit is simple, single and not composed in order that it may come to immortality, and it is a philosophical axiom that the individual or indivisible atom is indestructible. At most, it passes through a process of construction and reconstruction.”
2. “Furthermore, this immortal human soul is endowed with two means of perception: One is effected through instrumentality; the other, independently. For instance, the soul sees through the instrumentality of the eye, hears with the ear, smells through the nostrils and grasps objects with the hands. These are the actions of operations of the soul through instruments. But in the world of dreams the soul sees when the eyes are closed. The man is seemingly dead, lies there as dead; the ears do not hear, yet he hears. The body lies there, but he – that is, the soul – travels, sees, observes. All the instruments of the body are inactive, all the functions seemingly useless. Notwithstanding this, there is an immediate and vivid perception by the soul. Exhilaration is experienced. The soul journeys, perceives, senses. It often happens that a man in a state of wakefulness has not been able to accomplish the solution of a problem, and when he goes to sleep, he will reach that solution in a dream. How often it has happened that he has dreamed, even as the prophets have dreamed, of the future; and events which have thus been foreshadowed have come to pass literally.”

Plato, I think in his work Timeos, even describes the composition of the people, including that of the "soul"!
Other philosophers do not accept the existence of soul!

Yes. But according to the Bible, it is NOT something spiritual left over when we die.
When this happens, nothing is left over.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6Â Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.
(Ezekiel 18:4) Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.
To die you must be living. So according to Ezekiel, the 'soul'...us....can die.
So our 'soul' must be us, living breathing.
And the word is translated from the Hebrew word, NEPHESH which means...that which breathes.
So our ' soul' is us, complete and breathing.

No, there's no such thing as a "soul".
The people who believe there is can't even agree on what that would mean. The word is just something used to save bad arguments (for example, anti-abortion arguments, and arguments for life after death).

During operation my neighbour
survived clinical death.
Then she told .
Suddenly I left my body and appeared above.
I looked from above and I saw my body below and the doctors,
who were excited very much and made something with my body.
I felt myself very well .
And I was surprised, why the doctors worried so much.
But suddenly I recollected
I have left my children at home and I must return to them.
And I went down to my body.
The neighbour told her story and all her face
shone with surprise and pleasure.
