I have experienced and absolutely hate the following:
-people interrupting our conversation to take a call that ends up lasting like an hour
-people talking on their cell phone in stores, and holding up the line at the register because they aren't paying attention to the cashier as they are on the phone.
-moronic drivers causing accidents or near accidents because on the phone.
-I used to be a hairdresser, and when working on commission time=money and people would make me stop what I was doing to answer their phone
-My boss (a lawyer) provided his cell phone number to a client due to an emergent situation over a weekend, now that client phones on the cell at all hours and for any reason whatsoever.
-People calling your cell before your land line

I have recently "adopted" a soldier overseas. This is a program where we send letters and care packages on a regular basis (Soldier's Angels). My adoptee is a woman of Puerto Rican descent. I only know this from her email address. I know next to nothing else about her; I am not going to assume she speaks spanish or anything else. What I am wondering is if there are any specific treats, food items, or personal care items that are specific to people of Puerto Rican descent. I just want to make sure she has as much of home as possible in that hellhole. Thank you!

In 1990, a NYT poll found that 60% of blacks thought it true or possibly true that the government was making drugs available in black neighborhoods in order to harm people.

The same poll found that 29% thought it true or probably true that the AIDS virus was invented by racist conspirators to kill blacks.

If you do believe these, I would like to know, specifically, why.

I suspect there is from reading some of the replies here on Yahoo Answers. Some Christians are very intelligent, articulate and generally kind. But there are others on here that just amaze me by the willful ignorance they exhibit. It really gets me to hear some of them debate the Theory of Evolution, especially when the claim to be highly educated in science. Those people really hurt their own cause by making such fools of themselves.

Based on the different versions of Arthurian legen I have done and research on the like. I really like stories that portray Mordred as a tortured soul who had a horrible father who never acknowledged him. I pity Mordred and feel Arthur was an bad father who made some poor decisions as a king. Your thoughts? Does anyone agree/disagree/ or even care?

I always hear people say that Jesus and God love you but I have to say that I don't think if I was God i would love me very much. I always mess things up and I make promises I don't keep and I fail at doing things all the time. Why would a perfect being love someone like that only to be let down time and time again by that person?

Okay lets say you are filling out an application or whatever and they ask you what race you are what do you put if one of your parents is black and the other white... or what ever type of mixed races... Do they have an "other" option?

This has been my feeling for years. The celibacy restrictions put on Catholic priests automatically ensures that they will have all the homosexuals lining up? I don't understand how a young man, who's hormones should be raging, can say, "Yeah, I want to never touch a woman for the rest of my life!" I think that priests must have homosexual tendencies to begin with to even consider this way of life!

I'm not saying it's bad, I don't hate gays or Catholics. I just think that Catholics need to wake up to what's going on!

Something is important to me, or something matters to me, it would be "Me importa," and if the important object is plural, is changes to "Me importan..."

If you want to say like,

the book, money, and the future are important to me...

Would you use importan or importa? Altogether, they are plural, but each individual object is singular?
