Well, it doesn't say how MUCH he actually loves you. Or in what way, exactly. He might love you in the same way that I, uhm.....love Cheetos....

How could Jesus love you?
St. Paul put it best: "Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, (love) is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Jesus's love does not depend on your perfection. You are a child of God. And just like any parent loves their children, even the rambunctious always-into-something ones, Jesus can never give up on you - never!
As God says through the prophet Isaiah, "Would a mother forget her baby? Or a woman the child within her womb? Yet even if these forget, yes, even if these forget, I will never forget My own."
Think about what it is Christianity preaches - Christ crucified. If he is willing to go that far - to death itself - for you, how much do you want to bet that he desperately loves you as if you were the whole of humanity itself?
You may have many bumps on the road ahead of you. And you will always wonder how near God is. But never doubt that he loves you. He has since before you were born, and will until the day you stand before him.
So the question then becomes, knowing he loves you, can you love him?

Dear frnkadamo,
You are correct! The fact is that God does not love every person. How could God condemn someone He loves to eternal damnation or the lake of fire? What you have been told is an example of false teaching that has percolated through ALL the "Christian" churches. In 2 Thessalonians 2:3 the Lord speaks about a "falling away." This falling away is not diminishing numbers of people coming to church but a falling away from Bible truth. I can list many errors that have enterred into "church doctrine" but let me get back to your question.
We read in Psalms 5:5 "The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity." We also see in Psalms 11:5, "The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth." Now lets go to the New Testament. You should read the whole book of Romans but lets look at chapter 9, specifically Romans 9:13. We read there, "As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated." You may or may not know that Jacob and Esau were sons of Isaac-Isaac was a saved man. Even before these 2 brothers were born (they were twins), God had elected Jacob to salvation. Now both of these sons of Isaac had broken God's commandments, but God had chosen to save Jacob rather than Esau. This meant that Jesus Christ (God) had to endure the eternal wrath of God to pay for Jacob's sins in order to allow him to enter heaven. This is the same thing the Lord must do for anyone that He has chosen to be with Him in heaven. ALL of mankind are rebellious sinners. There is not one of us that deserves to go to heaven but the LORD in His great mercy and kindness determined to save some of these sinners and make them His children. Man can do nothing to get himself saved. God is Sovereign in everything and His law must stand.

We were created in his likeness. From the beginning of time we has desired to have a relationship with us. Parents love their children because they choose to, not because they have to. Love is never earned it is freely given. If it were not freely given then Jesus could not have endured what he did to not only forgive us for our sins, save us from a spiritual death, and to give us eternal life. Through our weakness, that is when God Strenght shines through. To God we are valuable, to the world we are expendable.

Why? because you are His beloved child, you are His dream and He loved you into existence, and He has called you by your name, you are unique and special to God,if you were the only person on this earth He would still have died for you that`s how much He loves you.
so how about easing up on yourself! at least you are trying to be better and this is what God loves about you.
look you are not as bad as you think you are and not as good as you could be,well that pretty much sums us all up, don`t you think.
so do not be down-hearted for God is more merciful than our own Mothers.

I really don't know how God could love any of us, but He does - passionately and compassionately. As humans we despise weakness, but God doesn't despise us for our weaknesses. Nothing we can do can undo the price that Jesus paid to redeem us. That price was His life. The cross cannot be undone - no matter how undeserving we were of He accomplished for us there.

Because you are His creation. Your creator loves you- imperfect though you are.
Sometimes I wonder how could God, creator of all- magnificent -wonderous- love me? And I realize I don't have to know- it is enough to know that He does.

Why? Bc He sees who you can become and what you can do with His help. He sees your potential, so He died for you. Now if you decide to follow Him, He'll change your heart and help you do good things for Him to help yourself and other ppl.
