Why are you racist or non-racist? Explain your logic.?

I am not racist becuase of the fact that i consider every human - aside from physical traits obviously - to be born a blank canvas (mentally that is). Therefore to base judgements on anothers race would not make sense as each person is the product of their experiences. I despise White, Black, Asian, etc.. racists equally because they hold a view which is abhorrent to me. Equally i get along with different people of different races based upon their views and interests - which vary hugely independent of their race/s....Therefore it seems the only way one could be racist - to descriminate based upon race in any other way than physical traits, is if they believe the same diferences in phsical makeup are also prevelant in the mental makeup. I do not.

I am non racist because it takes up too much time and energy trying to hate someone, especially for something that they can't change even if they wanted to. You have to have a pretty pathetic life if you are spending your time trying to find reasons to hate people that you don't even know.

I like to say I'm not racist, but then that would be slightly lieing. I am biased agaisnt a other races. But I try to see things equally, and fail.

Ex: A white kid fought an asian kid, and both kids have bad rep. I would say that both of them are to blame. But if the asian kid appears even slightly innocent Ill side with him, but if the white kid seem slightly innocent, I wouldn't bother.

I would say that I am like this because of the environment I was raised in.

I'm racist to an extent. More to the point I just don't like people who are jackas*es. You know the old saying "I hate everyone equally"? Kind of fits me. But I know that while I reserve judgement on people who are "normal" and "decent" I do make snap judgements about people if I don't have the opportunity to know them.

I wouldn't say that I discriminate immediately based on someones race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion but I definitely have "ideas" about them on the spot. I do wait to know them before I finalize my ideas about them.

At the same time, if I see a scummy looking guy of a different race in 7-11 with me, I keep an eye on what he is doing. I'm more likely to do that to a person of another race than I am a white scumbag (of which there are PLENTY!). As far as I'm concerned, that is smart, not racist.

I am not ashamed of my stance on this subject. Based on statistics, it really only makes sense.

Add: I would like to qualify my answer by stating that I grew up in New Hampshire which has a .03% minority (all minorities) population. I think that considering the "whiteness" of my background and the racism of others in my fam, I am doing surprisingly well.

i can say i am racists i don't enjoy being around white people not that i hate them i don't bother with them for my sake i won't commit a hate crime or call them out there names i simply ignore them as a whole i can't help it that's how i grew up white people don't exist where i live and i like it like that it's kind of weird to be around them

I think racism is irrational. The human gene pool is pretty well stirred up now. We're all inter-related, interracial, whether we acknowledge it or not.
I think the superior/inferior mindset, to which racism belongs, is silly. Sadly, it seems to be part of human nature. Or nature in general needs a pecking order.
Racism is an expression of the need to separate them from us.
Racism is another reason for hatred and violence.
It's really not a good idea.
