Information received off the internet cannot compare to sharing actual life experiences with fellow human beings. Communicating with actual LIVE people is more educational, and not as time consuming. There is no social life to resigning oneself to gathering knowledge strictly by internet usage.

There is an abundance of very good information on the Internet, that's true. However, there is also a great abundance of very bad information (read: inaccurate facts, misconceptions, outright lies and bigotry) on the Internet, that's also true.
Asking questions is a way of eliciting some help in sorting out the incredible pile of information and hopefully getting pointed in the direction of the good information.

I'm interested in the personal ideas, views and opinions of people. If I have a question about something factual, I will go to a search engine or database. If I just want to know what randon people think about a question with no one answer, I'll ask it here.

Sometimes you actually get advice from a professional or knowledgable person with information you can't find on the internet.
Sometimes it's good ro have an outside opinion.

Because there is an expert among us on a lot of things, with so many folks scanning your question, someone is bound to have the answer, and experience, that why this whole bucket of bolts (Yahell ans) ACTUALLY WORKS !

Because throwing a question out to a bunch of wise asses like myself, for a response, is infinitely more entertaining :P

It's not just information, it's advice and a release for people with problems; having people to share it with.

I asked the same question before and got a lot of poopy answers. My guess is laziness or the lack of research skills.

It all about the emotion. Getting someone emotional opinion on things seems to be more entertaining.
