I wonder why religions, Christianity and Islam in particular, don't allow much questioning. Judaism is built on it.

-- Jeffrey Dahmer?

Apparently there's a preacher who baptized Dahmer in prison and claims the notorious murderer-cannibal was saved before he died:

BTW, I'm an atheist and this is just one more reason why I have no wish to get within a country mile of heaven.

Would your family be there?
Could you watch over those still living, interact with them?
Would all people gain acceptance, or only those who have certain beliefs?
Would the afterlife be all pleasure or would it be similar to earth?

and that there's no escape from the war of religions/clash of civilizations?
i'm sorry to say this, but whether you believe or not this war is happening now and it will be a LOT worse in the near future.

this isn't the time for questioning God's existence. it's time to face reality and try to find peaceful solutions.

I have this sentence I'm having a big problem with in a Latin translation I have to do. I'm having a problem with the endings that can match several different declensions. This is the sentence:

Troiani procella ad oppidum Carthaginem portati sunt.

My problem is that Troiani, ending in "i" could be a genitive singular, nominative plural in the 2nd declensions and/or a dative singular in the 3rd declension.

I've gotten as far as thinking it's Trojans and not something to do with Troy. But what are they carrying into Carthage?

Can someone help me with this translation? Thanks!

I have to read the following:
Luke 23: 32-43
John 17: 6-26
Luke: 22: 31-33

They are intercession attitudes or forms of prayer w/e.

Some questions after reading them is:
"How does this attitude of prayer shape your relationship with others?" ... well I don't know because I don't see how it's related to other people.

"How is this attitude imporant in human relationships?" ... I guess it's important because the prayers are about other people not yourself?

And I have to write a prayer based on the attitude (intercession). Does anyone have any ideas? How do I write a prayer and about what and who???

Could having dreams in which dead loved ones are present be a sign of anything? Not so much in the sense of ones who have recently died, but more so after they've been gone for a while. Could the context of them telling you a message in the dream be a sign of anything greater?

when talking about the general viewpoint of how men can aquire material goods (money, etc) and how they are distributed across society, Isn't it ironic that conservatives believe more in the notion of pure capitalism than "godless" liberals do. I mean, capitalism is essentially "survival of the fittest," and last time i checked, that is not a very "christian" notion. myself i actually am more of a conservative (fiscally, anyways) but can any explain otherwise for me

Why do a majority of christians just cant stop trying to convert you into a christian? I usally ask them to stop, a few of them do, but most of just keep on going.I then try to tell them my views for being an atheist just to get them stop, but they just say that it is wrong and that you are going to hell if you continue being an atheist. Then comes the "God loves you", "He is going to send you to hell",etc. Then I finally get really annoyed,I tell them to stop shoving God down my throat, then they say "How dare you disrespect my views/beliefs" and "Why do you hate Christians so much?"or "Why are you complaining about us christians." and somtimes "Why are you atheists such cry babies , we never did anything to you...." This dosen't apply to the minority of Christians that show tolerance through, just the narrowminded, and extremely right-winged Christians that just cant accept that you are an atheist.

I have seen so many bad reviews on here, I would like to know what Christians think. I saw one trailer, and liked it, but I haven't seen the film yet. Does it make all Church camps look bad? I spent many weeks at church camps and loved it. What did you think?

If a person has never heard of christianity before (like people of the Americas before Europeans came) and they die, what happens to them after death?
