Haitian creole is a dialect based on different languages mainly on french. A lot of the words sounds french but are spelled differently. For example: Good Morning, Bonjour(french), Bonjou(creole). Let me give you some basic expressions.

Good Morning= Bonjou (Bon like in James Bond without the d and jou sounds like oo in too)

Thanks= Mèci (from french Merci)
I am fine= Mwen byen
And you?= E ou menm
I love you= Mwen renmen'w
This is my mom= Se manman mwen or manman'm
I am going to church= Mwen ( I ) prale lekol
I was wacthing tv= Mwen tap gade tv
Please= s'il vous plait (this is french but when u say it in creole it sounds the same)
I am hungry= mwen grangou
Can you show me the bathroom= Eske ou ka dim mwen kote toilet la ye
I am thirsty= Mwen swaf
Where is...?= Ki kote ... ye?

I couldn't think of more expressions. If you want some more information just e-mail me.
