In Genesis it gives the discription of the location of Edan and later, after Adam and Eve are cast out it says that God placed an angel with burning sword to guard this tree from us. Do you think there is such a tree?

I meditated for a long time last night for about 4 hours and I felt like I was at the gates of hell. Whatever it was that I went to on the inside of me scared the living daylights out of me and every single hair on my body was standing up. I almost threw up too. What caused this during meditation. Was I really going to a spiritual world that I didn't belong?

I am in my 30's and I have lead a "straight" life; but every day that passes; I feel like I am dying a bit more... I cannot tell my family how I feel; they would never be able to accept me as a gay person... How do I stop this pressure that is building inside? Please.....

I've been told it was Barak, meaning lightning or the sparks from an anvil or forge. Curiously that name appears in the Old Testament, but is also an old, discarded family name, and the family were certainly not Israelites - or Christians!

i learnt that the male muslim is reward in 'paradise' with virgins if he does god's will. a muslim cleric said on tv that if a muslim sacrificed himself in the jihad, leaving his beloved family, he will marry 7 (or 70?) wives in 'paradise'.
my question is, what then if a WOMAN dies for her faith, then what? will she get 7 husbands? what does she stand to gain?

I want to start a gay club at my college that focuses on showing lgbtq and straight people that gay people are a part of society just like everyone else. My aim is to interact with other clubs such as BSU, Hispanic Pride, Campus Crusade, in coordinating events and activates that shows not only what the culture has done as a hole, but what the gay people in that culture have done. So any ideas?

Jesus = Love. and not the white robed man with a beard or a person handing out tickets to heaven.

Heaven can be sought by practising Jesus way & following his teachings. Practise unflinching love and that is the way.

Also, God sent his only son they say. God is Love and what he can therefore sent is only Love. Love and love along is His being. All other qualities stem from Love. This only son is qualitative (Love) & not one human form or a person. Any one who has ONLY LOVE is God's Son.

God is not quantitively limited but qualititivel complete. the only son therefore refers to fullness in aspect as opposed to a quantitve and finite number.

Lack of Love is Sin, because God is Love. Separation from God or separation Love is Sin. Act of Love redeems the sin.. It is in loving that we bridge the gap and reach the kingdom of God.

Therefore, you see heaven is open to all who practise Love! Lets not take common sense out of christianity or did God really send Gandhi to hell.
