Jesus = Love. and not the white robed man with a beard or a person handing out tickets to heaven.
Heaven can be sought by practising Jesus way & following his teachings. Practise unflinching love and that is the way.
Also, God sent his only son they say. God is Love and what he can therefore sent is only Love. Love and love along is His being. All other qualities stem from Love. This only son is qualitative (Love) & not one human form or a person. Any one who has ONLY LOVE is God's Son.
God is not quantitively limited but qualititivel complete. the only son therefore refers to fullness in aspect as opposed to a quantitve and finite number.
Lack of Love is Sin, because God is Love. Separation from God or separation Love is Sin. Act of Love redeems the sin.. It is in loving that we bridge the gap and reach the kingdom of God.
Therefore, you see heaven is open to all who practise Love! Lets not take common sense out of christianity or did God really send Gandhi to hell.

Is it any wonder people cannot understand christian concepts
when people still belive in the existence of a heaven and hell that all go to at death
hell does not exist
heaven is for the chosen few

While it is true that God is love, the love that a person has for others will not get them into heaven. Jesus' love will, but that love must be requited, by receiving the gift from Him.
If I were to love you by buying you a ticket to the "Event of the Year," but you didn't take it from me, and then tried to enter the event, would they let you in? Of course not. Even though the ticket was paid for, you didn't take advantage of the purchase.
The same is true for the gift of Christ. He purchased salvation to all who will call on His name to save them. (Romans 10:13) But, if you never receive the gift, if it His fault that you won't be allowed in?
If the situation is true on earth with an Event, it is also true in the spiritual realm. As it is written: "There is no salvation by anyone else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

God sends no one to hell. It is a choice each individual makes for himself. God has open the gates of Heaven to all who desire to enter. Its simple; just say yes to the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Jesus!!!!!

Yes...Jesus is the only way. The Bible quoted Jesus by saying: "No one can enter unto my Father's kingdom except through me."
In John...he first did not understand what Jesus said...when He told John he must be 'born again.' John asked Jesus...'you mean I must again enter into my mother's womb to be born again.?' It sounds ignorant, but John did not know. Which is a major reason why he followed Jesus; to learn.
The deciples left their wives and families to follow Christ.
