Please don't post answers debating Mormonism on this post. I am looking for answers from people who know several Mormons and have suggestions on what they can do better to be more inclusive. Do you want them to be very open about their relgious beliefs or would you prefer them to not talk about it? This is a pretty open ended question, so feel free to share what you think. I repeat this post ISN'T here to debate who's right and who's wrong. I'm sure there's other posts for that.

Women are treated so poorly?? Why are they forbiddon to vote? Why must they cover their faces? Are they ugly? Why do their husbands work them like slaves?----while the hubby does nothing but relax. Why must they ask their husbands 'permission' to do *any*thing? I see these women on the news everyday. They have no voice, they're not permitted one.

This doesn't sound nor look like a God who likes women very much,...........now just WHY would I want to convert and become one of them???

I was in LA walking home from a bar one night when I heard a lot of yelling and banging. I looked into a parking lot and say a girl inside of a car surround by at least 10 black people. They were yelling something to the nature of "this is the bit(h that narked out somone" They thought she went to the police about something. Anyways they end up breaking the car window, dragging her out of the car and beating the crap out of her. She finally got on her feet to run and a guy punched her in the face and she fell. Then the girls were stomping on her head when she was unconscious. The gang saw me and grabbed me and took the ID out of my wallet and told me if I said anything they would find me. I know the woman survived and the police came to the scene but would you say anything if you were me?

The new Australian cigarette warnings are a graphic undignified display of human pathology. How do people behind cash registers deal with seeing these images all day long? How to people go through the day after being confronted with such grotesque photographs?

Sat while shoppiing at a retail chain store.

I went in to use the bathroom.

When I flushed the toilet I noticed a pair of womens panties on the floor.

They were full of crap. It was nastey. and I thought not my problem.

As I walked out, an employee was coming to clean the bathroom. She had a sign up out front, closed for cleaning.

I thought to myself, that lady is gonna have to pick up the
panties.

I went and got a cart and started shopping.

A women approached me and asked me to come with her. She said she was the manager. She took me to the bathroom and told me to pick up my dirty underwear and throw them away.

I said they were not mine, and I refused to pick them up. The manager said the women cleaning said you were the last person in here before she came into clean, and that the mess in the underwear was fresh.

I showed then a piece of my underwear to prove they were not mine.

Since I refused to pick them up I was kicked out of the store

Why would you risk the chance that you might go to hell? What if there is a gnashing of teeth, extreme agony, pain, cold, like eternal Hell? Would you want to risk being haunted of the horrible things that happened to you and what you did to others? Would you want to hear screams and cries, gnashing of teeth, freezing(the bible explains it better) and experience the most horrible pain forever?

State your reasons.

I have to admit that this question was spawned in my mind by the recent debates on illegal immigration and controversies with the overwhelming Hispanic culture here in the southwest US.
It seems that most older waves of immigrants went severely out of their way to quash the practice of their culture when they arrived here and rushed to assimilate as "Americans". Many refused to speak their language with their children and gave up celebrations and other distinct features and connections with their old country.
I'm half Irish and a few of my friends are of Italian, Egyptian and Greek heritage, yet our families could be interchangeable. Being so surrounded by the Mexican culture, we realize now we miss having a heritage and wish I could hear blaring Irish music, see Irish language billboards in my neighborhoods, whatever. Basically, I guess I'm really jealous of the Mexicans in this nation who have their cultural centers, tv stations, magazines, congressional delegation even.

Why don't we just write a few enticing sentences and post a link. If the person wants to read more, they can. I'd like to read more of what Muslims here have to say, but it seems thrown in my face. I'd rather be intrigued. As far as Christian posts, that stuff is my culture so it is much easier for me to ignore it. I really don't even pay attention. They too should take a hint. No one reads that stuff either.

The definition of the word "Faerie" is "Small, human in form, playful, having magical powers". Faeries can be good, evil, ugly, or cute. But they exist in a different realm than humans do. Sometimes humans can mistakenly walk in a Fairlyland in which they may never see their old lives again.

Certain comedians like Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock make it a habit to pick on the white race. Yes I do see this as reverse racism. And when i see White people in the audience I cringe after a race remark was made. usually the white people are laughing just as hard as everyone else. But i was wondering.. do you really find it funny. And if not, why do so many white people come to see the shows and sit and the front row?

Like Christians, Muslims believe that the present life is only a trial preparation for the next realm of existence. This life is a test for each individual for the life after death. A day will come when the whole universe will be destroyed and the dead will be resurrected for judgment by God. This day will be the beginning of a life that will never end. This day is the Day of Judgment. On that day, all people will be rewarded by God according to their beliefs and deeds. Those who die while believing that “There is no true god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God” and are Muslim will be rewarded on that day and will be admitted to Paradise forever, as God has said:
“And those who believe and do good deeds, they are dwellers of Paradise, they dwell therein forever.”
(Quran, 2:82)
But those who die while not believing that “There is no true god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God” or are not Muslim will lose Paradise forever and will be sent to Hellfire, as God has said:
“And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him and he will be one of the losers in the Hereafter.” (Quran, 3:85)
And as He has said:
“Those who have disbelieved and died in disbelief, the earth full of gold would not be accepted from any of them if it were offered as a ransom. They will have a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers. ” (Quran, 3:91)
One may ask, ‘I think Islam is a good religion, but if I were to convert to Islam, my family, friends, and other people would persecute me and make fun of me. So if I do not convert to Islam, will I enter Paradise and be saved from Hellfire?’
The answer is what God has said in the preceding verse, “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him and he will be one of the losers in the Hereafter.”
After having sent the Prophet Muhammad to call people to Islam, God does not accept adherence to any religion other than Islam. God is our Creator and Sustainer. He created for us whatever is in the earth. All the blessings and good things we have are from Him. So after all this, when someone rejects belief in God, His Prophet Muhammad, or His religion of Islam, it is just that he or she be punished in the Hereafter. Actually, the main purpose of our creation is to worship God alone and to obey Him, as God has said in the Holy Quran (51:56).
This life we live today is a very short life. The unbelievers on the Day of Judgment will think that the life they lived on earth was only a day or part of a day, as God has said:
“He (God) will say, “How many years did you stay on the earth?” They will say: “We stayed a day or part of a day....” (Quran, 23:112-113)
And He has said:
“Did you then think that We had created you in jest (without any purpose), and that you would not be returned to Us (in the Hereafter)? So, God is exalted, the True King. None has the right to be worshipped but Him... ” (Quran, 23:115-116)
The life in the Hereafter is a very real life. It is not only spiritual, but physical as well. We will live there with our souls and bodies.
In comparing this world with the Hereafter, the Prophet Muhammad said: {The value of this world compared to that of the Hereafter is like what your finger brings from the sea when you put it in and then take it out.} The meaning is that, the value of this world compared to that of the Hereafter is like a few drops of water compared to the sea.
