Repent of this lie and cover it up if you may. Now one can go somewhere and make a video to display like you was on TV for real. But being honest is the deal to mend any relationship and telling him the truth will certainly help. Just tell him that you told him that because you wants to know how he would feel when the time comes and you really appears on television for what ever reason. So call one of your TV station in your area and tell them you wants to be on television, and you can appear for just an interview concerning something going on in your town.

Your very good friend deserves to know the truth & he has the right to be mad. You must allow him to make-up his own mind about this lie, and the future of your relationship. Set your ownself free by asking forgiveness & tell him the truth. I hope you realize this is also an issue of trust, trust once lost is hard to regain. I believe if he is your very good friend, he will forgive you. Don't wait much longer to rid yourself of this guilt. Guilt - is a useless emotion, take responibity for your actions. Best of Luck !

Tell him the truth, sweetie. That's what friendships are built on. Make sure you tell him why you did it, and how badly you feel about it now. Don't worry; he'll understand. He may be mad for a little while, or he may just laugh it off, but it'll be all right in the end as long as you tell him the truth. Best of luck.

oooh tough. all you can do is tell him the truth. either that or simply never speak to him again. and that is deffenetly ruining a relationship, where as if you tell him you lied, you only might lose his friendship. take your pick...for sure lose him, or only maybe lose. you deside what is the best thing. i hope it all goes well with you. and i would look up to you if you just told him. you'd be a very strong person to do so. the strength it would take you to fix your lie....that would be cool if you did. good luck

He'll probably be at least a little mad. If you can explain why you did it (you felt a need to impress him or whatever) it might help some. Do you do things like this this often? It may be a sign that you need some counseling.

Everyone makes mistakes, tell him you lied and if he is a good friend, he will forgive you...if he gets mad than he isnt really your friend in the first place, is he?

If he is a very good friend, then tell him the truth. Friendships that are strong can survive anything.

Tell the truth and explain to him you were trying to impress him and apologize. If he's not cool, he's not as nice as you think. But tell the truth.

You should just tell him. I'm sure he won't be mad.I think we all lie about things to impress people sometimes. I don't think it's that big a deal, it's not like you told him to hurt him or anything.
