I know this seems like a silly thing, but I do ask, anyways. I am one who, since a very young age, has been attracted to men. I have tried everything... prayed, therapy, most things, but have failed. For some reason, women have never really done it for me and my heart has always felt more complete with a man. But I am a religious person and I know what The Bible says and I want to go to Heaven and I know this needs to stop. But it just seems so helpess, yet I try every day. But nothing. I pray, but nothing. What do I do to be happy and rid this problem? Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

Look... I know many people that use God as their reason for the things they do. They use God as a reason why things are as they are. And so on and so forth.

However, God created knowledge. He created science and philosophy and mathematics and other fields of acquiring knowledge. So it seems kind of wierd if we don't educate ourselves.

Aren't we showing our lack of appreciation for all His creations if we purposely ignore sources of knowledge?

Don't we have free will for a REASON?

I think these bigots get a buzz out of being called a racist on here, so if we ignore them then at least no-one is giving them that kick.

I was reading the Iliad by Homer the other day and throughout the whole story Zeus keeps saying or foreshadowing that "the city of Troy is fated to fall." And as we know, Zeus is, in Greek Mythology, the supreme god and the most powerful one too. There is almost virtually nothing that he can't do. But on the other hand, fate is inevitable, fate is something that unavoidably befalls. Is Zeus acting on fate? And can gods change fate since they are so supreme? or is fate the actual will of Zeus? I hope you sorta understand what im talking about here. It is so confusing because I cant see how fate and powerful gods co-exist.

I believe in the kindness, the God have different names and is the same God than the other monotheist religions. I follow leaders known by their kindness. Ex: Jesus, Mother Teresa of Calcutta, Mahatma Gandhi and Buddha. Now you can see that my leaders have different religions. I read the New Testament and the Teachings of Buddha. I'm asking this question because I dont know what to answer. I only believe in kindness and i think that the religion is the opiate of the masses. For me, the books Genesis and Apocalypsis should be taken literally, they are mistic.

Note: I believe in God

So what religion fit me best?

I have always wondered this. Lollypop women/men do great jobs making sure the kids get across safely, but what on earth is the point in a lollypop person waiting at a crossing for the light to turn red THEN they will cross the kids, even though the traffic has stopped?

Hmm when i was young all the lolypop people were at small roads, crossing kids on their own initiative, but now there they stand at a (pelican) crossing and press the button

Remember the immortal words of our goddess Endora:

We are quicksilver, a fleeting shadow, a distant sound
Our lives have no boundaries that we cannot overreach
We live in music, a flash of color
We live on the wind, and in the sparkle of a star..

The foolish mortal who hath reported my last question as advertisement , Endora will smite with oversize ears and wacky behavioral disorders--have faith!
