Look... I know many people that use God as their reason for the things they do. They use God as a reason why things are as they are. And so on and so forth.
However, God created knowledge. He created science and philosophy and mathematics and other fields of acquiring knowledge. So it seems kind of wierd if we don't educate ourselves.
Aren't we showing our lack of appreciation for all His creations if we purposely ignore sources of knowledge?
Don't we have free will for a REASON?

That is because a lot of people only need God to give them favors, and not to become a better person in this world who would seek to better himself and live in harmony with his fellow men. Most people need a protector, a miracle-doer, not self-enlightenment

Thought that was what I was doing, seems to me that is one way of losing approval of many. Seems learning and applying makes one less liked. Remember they stoned all the prophets, Steven said they did. Today most deny God even has prophets (not talking clairvyant, but the gift), so actually understanding gets one in trouble and mostly I think because if a person understands enough to even be able to see and say hey look your going the wrong way then people in authority might get challenged and we wouldn't want to have that now would we.
Preachers might be held accountable and if that happens the church would be self correcting in direction and then who would be in control??? Who??

God didn't give us knowledge, all those things ( fields of discipline), including God, were created by MAN
Most people (in my opinion the weak-minded), can not live their lives without feeling like life has a purpose. So in order to feel less clueless about existence, they make one up. For example: "I am here to spread God's word", or "I am here to spread the word of Jesus". The list goes on and on

The reason being that one knows that God answers prayers and knowingly that he will provide. Then the bible also say my people perish for lack of knowledge and if any one lacks he can always ask God for his infinite widsom.
