Yes it certainly does. I had a very nice tan this past summer, from doing water aerobics at the outdoor pool. It is fading fast, since I have not been out very much. Yes, we do need the vitamin D from the sun for our bones to stay strong. Need to find a way to spend more time outdoors, even on overcast days, it is beneficial.

You don't have to stay locked up in your bedroom. Just stay out of the sun. But also be careful because the sun gives us vitamins too, I think it's vitamin D. So, if you're going to avoid the sun, be sure to take vitamins to supplement for it.
