have to change the name of a great tradition like holloween to fall festival, or some other nonsence name. Why can't they come up with their own holiday on their own dates, and stop changing others. Be orginal, if you dont like it dont participate.

I agree, I always loved Halloween and then became a Christian and learned what a big no no it is. I don't pay any attention to them. It's such a fun holiday.

We're not changing the name of Halloween at all. But a lot of churches are offering non-Halloween-oriented activities that just happen to be on Oct. 31. Check out the first link below for some ideas.

I think people get so stuck in "sinning" and "thou shalt not" and their own religious beliefs that they forget about respect, freedom of religion, and that everyone came from the same source - I hardly go to my church but I know it welcomes people of all religions to visit and does not suggest anything but interest, expanding knowledge, possibilities and growth in discovering new and different ways of growing spiritually from all religious points of view- just because their customs or traditions or beliefs aren't the same I think we're all really aiming for the same thing - where we came from - what's our purpose - where are we going - what happens once our bodies stop working - whatever any one believes I think we all share that we believe something and are searching for something - no matter how different our feelings are - whether Wicca, Buddhist, Muslim, catholic, atheist, whatever, we all believe something - that we have in common. Some churches religions get so lost in judgment instead of what really counts

are traditional religious practices so fragile that the idea of a fun filled holiday like Halloween threatening? really..I think not. Why is fear so easily induced in the churches? "oh ye' of little faith"

What difference does it make? Halloween is still of pagan origin. Calling it by a different name changes nothing.

It has a history going back before Christianity, Read about it, see if your nonsensical question then makes any sense.
