I've been told it was Barak, meaning lightning or the sparks from an anvil or forge. Curiously that name appears in the Old Testament, but is also an old, discarded family name, and the family were certainly not Israelites - or Christians!

Judy you are wacky....Borak was the name of the half horse half human animal, it had wings, and it carried Prophet Muhammad to Paradise.......now that was a miracle, this fact is too much to get through to judy's brain.....one can say people cant walk on ice or the sea cannot split, but hey NO, they were all prophets of Allah.....
