We went to an 'Authentic' medieval banquet in a castle with a roaring log fire, long wood tables and roaming dogs but they stopped me throwing my spare rib bones over my shoulder for the dogs because of health and safety issues- Some were hitting the guests seated in the row behind. The manager said it was not an authentic action anyway, I had seen it in a film and no-one really did it.

Job 35:10 "God, my Maker, who giveth songs in the night."

It is easy to sing in the daytime when all is well and the wind is stirring and the flowers are made bold. But can we sing praises at night? Can we praise God for all the unknown, all we can not see, for all the uncertainty...?

What is your "night time" these days? What are you struggling with, desiring and not receiving? My desire is for a child, but we keep running into one brick wall after another.

I am trying to praise God that I can not get pregnant, because if he has not allowed it to be so, then it must be for the best. But it is a hard praise to sing.

When was the last time you praised God for what He has not blessed you with?

This is the all mighty “god” that created the universe including the millions of galaxies, billions of stars and trillions of planets, black holes, nebulas, pulsars, quasars and other things in our known universe. With the fact our solar system is so insignificant compared to our galaxy and our galaxy being utterly insignificant compared to our universe what is the chance that this “god” would pay any attention to this tiny planet orbiting a mediocre star in a common galaxy (the spiral galaxy is pretty common in the universe). It would be ridiculously egotistical to believe he would send prophets let only his own “son” down to this planet and “save us from our sins”. Thus the concept of heaven and hell or Satan and any other religious belief wouldn’t make sense because we aren’t even visible to “god” if he created the whole universe. Do you get the concept of how microscopic we are compared to the universe? This “god” probably doesn’t even know we exist.

I am Muslim and I met a Muslim girl and we fell in love with each other, after a week she told me that she is not a virgin that she made a mistake with another man and prays to Allah to forgive her for her mistake.. why did he, as i just found out, brief the pentagone on biblical prophesy, like why the pentagone? . . . and i just read posts by some completely crazy people on here saying pretty much good time to blow up all the evil people. i'm scared . . . i though christainity was about love not about using nuclear missiles to burn all the beautiful things in the world . . . i feel sick that someone could read the bible and come up with such a murderous idea, its just so sick and disgusting i dont think there is a word for it. Sorry for using the word Christian to ask this question but I believe the majority of readers here are Chrsitian so I must.

Why is it that my personal beliefs are so counter intuitive to Christianity? I belief in equal rights, but my religion fights them, I can't agree with that, and only makes me doubt my beliefs and my religions at the same time.
