The Bible teaches that those who leave never were part of it.
1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us.

This is a question people have been trying to answer for a long time. If you come from a Chruch of Christ or Pentecostal denomination, they teach that you lose your salvation with each sin. Baptists teach a doctrine called "perseverance of the saints," which means people that are truly saved will never lose their salvation, nor will they fall away duing their lives. Catholics teach that you will still be "saved," but will spend more time in purgatory.

My guess is that people who become "UNchristian" never really experienced the life transformation brought about by Christ through His Spirit.

Ultimately, it is God's choice - we have no way of knowing either way. However, I don't want to stand before God one day and say, "Well, I followed you for a couple of years in middle school... Shouldn't that be enough?"

The Bible teaches us that one will NEVER lose their salvation. I wonder though How can someone who was a true Christian become "UNChristian" ? Were they ever truly saved?? To be saved is to believe without a doubt that Jesus died to pay the price for their own personal sins. So do they still believe that, did they EVER really believe that? John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" No they will Not lose their salvation. but I'm not sure how pleased God would be with them. My advice is BELIEVE!

Well I am saved and served God and Jesus for 4 years and then went astray or out of fellowship which ever you want to call it. I am still saved even though right now my flesh seems to be winning over me. Paul had the same problem in Romans 7. He had a new nature but the old nature was also causeing him problems. Even though I am out of fellowship I have never stopped knowing I am saved. Satan cannot take that away, even though I hang my head in shame knowing I am away from God and Jesus I know I will come home soon. People who said they are saved then all of a sudden they are not then I would question if they was ever saved in first place.

If you are now "Un-Christian" your status of being saved or not should not matter to you. If you have become an atheist, or a member of another faith, you no longer believe in the Christian heaven. If you do, and are worried about being "saved" then perhaps you need to re-evaluate your spirituality to find out where you truely stand.

I one is truly saved, the whole momentum of their life has changed from walkinf away from God to walking with him. Their whole mind has been changed to the point that they could never be happy without Jesus. Deciding to be a christian is like climbing up high to a diving board. All the way up you can change your mind and go down but once you step off the diving board and start falling you cannot reverse it. The whole momentum of your situation has changed. Such is one that truly become born again and a new creature as it says in: 2Cr 5:17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
When one is born they cannot become unborn just like you you had a new baby.. Jhn 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

There is a difference from being saved and just saying a prayer. Anyone who is TRULY saved would not become unchristian down the road.

It really offends me when people claim, or when they interpret the Bible as saying, that someone who leaves Christianity was never really into it, or never really saved. I can testify by my own experience that this is a load of garbage. To negate my deep and sincere experiences in my faith is ignorant and disgusting. Only God and I know how true it was. It is people like you who helped squeeze and wrench me OUT of that church. All I was ever told was once saved, always saved, and that's how they got me to sign up. But later, when I talked about not wanting to be active in the church anymore, all of a sudden the deal changed, and people threatened me with hell. I don't want my faith to based on being afraid of God. The one you sold me would not send me to hell for being myself and telling the truth.

Best just to recognize that God is perfect and can't make any mistakes, so all of us were born right the First time.

This takes a lot of confusion out of all of it.

Simply put they are all safe or saved because they are all part of the same loving God.

Love and blessings Don

If he/she becomes unchristian as you put it.

1. His or Her conversion to Christianity was never true.
2. To become a christian again would be very hard(not impossible, just hard)
3. They left us because the were never one of us.
