I've had an experience recently where a couple drag queens were acting very rude to the other patrons at a club. Why do some always think they are better than everyone else? Is there a rule that you must be a complete ****** when in drag?

Oh, please don't get me wrong, I do have many Queens that I absolutely adore and I agree with you guys ... some, not all. But, it seems like they aren't like they used to be. Since people are coming out younger and younger, they think they own people just because they're in drag. Snapping fingers and making people buy drinks for them? I will offer my favorte Queen a drink .. but I'll be damned if you demand it ! I'll be getting off my soap box now .... thanks for all your answers !

There whole life is about entertaining and being fabulous, whats the point of being alive if nobody knows your there. As for the bad drag queens there is never any excuse for bad manners.Manners and civility cost nothing so its there for us too use.If we disrespect others,we have some issues of our own that need addressing.

I think in general people are less mannered and ruder. I think part of that has to do with the computer age, where you can say what you want to a complete stranger and there are no repercussions because for the most part they are anonymous. I think this has carried over to real time. My ex husband has been a Drag Queen (a transvestite who preforms Drag in his case), for over 30years. He considers himself a Lady and expects respect because he gives it back in the form of good manners and ladylike behavior. The queens (I refuse to equate them with my ex and his peers), you are coming across are simply the spoiled brats who threw themselves in the toy isle about 10 years ago and had tantrums and demanded their parents buy them the latest video game. This is the consequences of their parents inability to raise them to be socially acceptable. Ignore them, laugh at them. In a short while, they will be yesterdays trash.

Isis is correct- not all queens act that way.
Most are really clever and funny.
Have you ever gone to a costume party and worn a mask? Once you get the mask on, no one knows who you are, and you can get away with a lot of stuff. These queens you saw have their masks on and most likely, when taken off, are totally different people. I said most likely there.
So my answer to your question is no, you don't have to be a "B" when in drag.

Some queens are very funny, warm and nice. But like all people, there are others who can be egotistical and rude. I am sorry you met some of those. Please believe me (I am lesbian) not all of the boys who would be girls are bad. You just hit a couple of losers.

ahahahhahahahah lolololol rotf wowo i thought it was just me who thought this! I always wondered why they think " REAL WOMEN" act like that because " WE ( women everyday, week, month, year, etc.) don't yes grant it some do but the majority dont i believe if a man wants to become a woman then he needs to study ALL different types and kinds of women an not the drama queens, hood ratz, ghetto gurlz, uptight snobs, etc. but R-E-A-L live everyday women, plain janes if you will.

drag queens are trying to over kill the feminine aspects of life
it must be thought that females are bitchy and therefore drag queens over do it
drag queens are just out they trying to be noticed
as they are only acting
and using that act as a life style
