It is always said that God inspired Moses to write the first five books of the Bible. There is no real proof of this. As to God dictating to Moses, doens't this sound a little ridiculous to you. Do you think Moses had a stenographer to take notes for him. The Bible was written by humans, and they got their inspiration from ancient Pagan stories of Greece.

Moses never wrote the Pentateuch and Genesis 1 and 2 give differing creation myths. The writers of Genesis were more likely influenced by the Sumarian creation myth in the epic of Gilgamesh than by any deity.

For whatever His reason, God has chosen the Jews to be His messengers on earth. It is through them that we have been given the message of God's love. Try it, and enjoy it. It makes far more sense than the ramblings of some sea sick drunk on a ship named after a dog.
