1 Tim 3:15 "But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth."

Holy Scripture tells us that the Church is the pillar and foundation of truth.

Keeping in mind that only ONE Christian Church existed at the time that this was written.

Which Church do you think this refers to?

I visited a church a few years ago where the congregation spoke in tongues AND was "possessed by the spirit" to run down the aisles. I wonder if this is the evangelical equivalent of jogging. If so, is it enough just to do it on Sundays?

This is advice that is frequently doled out to those who complain about their circumstances. "There is always somebody who has it worse." While I find this logically a good argument to stop whining, it does not truly make me FEEL any better. All I know is what I know. I realize that there is a burn victim somewhere, somebody in a political prison, a wife being abused, all right at this moment... But it doesn't ease my own pain. The ironic thing is that thinking of people who have it "better" does serve to make me feel worse. Any thoughts?

i am a christian student and today in my global class the teacher said that islam, judiasm, and christianity all worship the same god. Now i did not think this was true and asking a few other christians they say this is completly wrong that the jews and christians have the same god (different beliefs, i know) but islam (allah, not sure spelling) was not the same god. I would like some insite on this.
also if you can find any articles that support this please put them for i would like some backround information that is reliable.

- some said that the islam book has something to do with how their god is not the same....?

I have recently ordered one of those get rich quick things, and read all the books, watched the movies, and did everything else. It is legit, and I could possibly make a lot of money. Here's the kicker: all the work is just calling people and pretty much telling them that their property is worth less than it really is. A lot less. Like thousands less. Then I talk them into selling it to me. Then i find someone with a lot of money, and tell them it is worth more than it is. These people buy the property for a lot more than it's worth, when realy the owner think I am buying it. I keep the difference. It's lying to many people about a lot of money. I wanted to do this so I could save up some cash to go back to bible school. Is this a way God has blessed me with resources to make money? Or is it moraly wrong to lie to people and then pretty much steal from them by taking advantage of their lack of knowledge. Seriously, i need some advice. Thanks.
