Let's take Noah's ark for example. Someone just asked a question as to where all the flood waters would have gone after the world was flooded as there is not enough water on the planet to cover the entire surface.

Alright, you got us, there's absolutely no scientific explination. But before dismiss all Christians as looney consider something. We believe in an all powerful creator of the universe. A designer of all things seen and unseen. He literally wrote the book when it came to physics. What are the laws of the universe when it comes to acts of God? Why would a miracle need a scientific explanation? What you are basically saying is that you don't believe in miracles. That's one thing but please don't try to tear down someone's belief with a scientific arguement. I trust you all are smarter than that.

A side note however: In the ancient world would He have to cover the whole world or just the known world? Would both be acceptable interpretations?

Why don't you believe in God? I'm Lutheran, a Christian, and I can accept your beliefs, but I don't agree with them at all. What causes you not to believe? I don't think there's one good reason not to believe, I know its risky for me to write that on Yahoo Answers, but sometimes controversy just simply needs to be stated. Feel free to email me with any questions pertaining to my faith or Christianity ,etc..and I will answer them. Ask, send me your reasons by email if you want a response...I assure you, that whatever your reasons for not believing are, I can prove that they aren't vaild. Please note that NO offense is meant by this. Please, just realize that I am not setting out to insult you, I'm here to question respectfully, not offend.

I had never showered in school and I played basketball through all of high school and college.

In HS practice was our last class of the day, so I showered at home. In college, I waited until I got back to my dorm or hotel room, if it were a road game.

It wasn't until I went to Marine bootcamp that I was forced to strip down & shower in front of another man. At first, you think all eyes are on you, then you realize everyone is feeling the same way and you get use to it.

I did have the same feeling the first time I showered at my gym. It went away pretty quickly. I figured none of the guys at the gym knew me outside of the gym, so who cares. But, it comes back if I have to shower infront of somebody I know outside the gym.

Strange huh?

Or volcanoes, earthquakes, or diseases that infect little children for that matter?

Iasiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Well, I've always had this vision in my mind that I'm this perfect, almost flawless girl. I'm fairly intelligent, have always gotten straight A's, I've always prospered in school. According to numerous people that know me, I have a sensational, slim body. I'm nice, and kind. I'm creative, I like art..I play a wide range of instruments. I'm Rich, etc etc..the list goes on. Now I might come across as an arrogant, condescending, self-absorbed girl but honestly, I can easily substantiate the above qualities. And it’s not like I go around bragging about being rich in reality. All I'm wondering is, do those characteristics really define perfection? Man, does it even matter....I don't know..why was I asking this question again? Well, I just want to know if there are more people out there who consider themselves "perfect."

I can forgive people who wrong or offend me, but what business do I have telling anyone that his or her sins are forgiven?

The Jewish people believed (and still do) that only God was able to do that.

Yet, Jesus, a Jew, forgave people's sins all through His 3-year ministry on earth.

Why? Was He a delusional schizophrenic who really thought He was God the Son with the authority to forgive sins?

And how does He decide which one to use? According to the Bible, He seems to try out different methods - floods, pestulence, pillar of salt, you have it - just for the novelty.

He kind of reminds me of a kid trying out different ways to wipe out an ant hill.

I was at a restaurant the other day, and two teenage girls (at least 16 yrs old) and one of the girl's mother were sitting at a booth. BOTH girls had their feet on the seat. One was literally squatting, with her feet on the seat of the booth, the other was sitting with one foot up on the seat. (not tucked up nicely under her, but flat footed with her knee up above the table level).

Both of these girls were wearing nice makeup and nicely dressed. The mother was impeccably dressed and had an expensive designer bag. I find it amazing that they have no manners.

Does it bother you when you see people with their feet on chairs/booths/seats? It bothers me because they have their nasty dirty shoes that just walked across a dirty oily parking lot on a seat that I may be sitting on next. And you never know how recently they walked through dog doo either!

Then when someone post a question that you feel is attacking you, you get all mad. Is this just the immature, simple minded that cannot defend your positions without being defensive. I know ask this in a provocative way, and I apopgize, however I tend to get just as aggrevated and offended being called stupid because we disagree.

Just looking at some questions, so many black people cried racism or "stereyotype" when someone said something about their race.

Then they make questions like "Why do white people...etc"

I don't understand their race - everything is racist except when they say it?
