No, but this question is definitely condescending and abusive.
I only get condescending about people who believe in a sky wizard when I get read questions like yours.
Now if you re-post a respectful question where you really want to know how I walked into the light of atheism after over 30 years as a christian, then I will answer in a respectful method

Why must you be condescending and abusive when answering questions?
Then when someone post a question that you feel is attacking you, you get all mad. Is this just the immature, simple minded that cannot defend your positions without being defensive. I know ask this in a provocative way, and I apopgize, however I tend to get just as aggrevated and offended being called stupid because we disagree.
Right back at ya!
And you ask in a very condescending way, I might add.

No, the harshness isn't purely reserved from Christians from Atheists. some Christians show an identical attitudes. human beings might properly be recommend. additionally, some have not got any undertaking for fact and proceed to spew properganda. In some human beings's eyes, that's extremely disrespectful. a lot of human beings additionally see insulting a faith is insulting the believer too. i do no longer understand what you think of of that, yet i do no longer see the two as equivalent.

First off I don't get angry because I understand the source. I no from experience that certain Christians never read anything they fear will shake their faith. Thus they go blissfully along saying bigoted things to cause others pain. They even toss aside their own children if there gay, lesbian, bi, or transgendered, or worse drive them to suicide, through guilt trips. Because they'd rather follow the leader blindly than to learn the truth.
By the way the ratio of gays to straights doesn't change from one culture or religion to another. You each have a 1 in 10 chance of having an LGBT child with every pregnancy.

Well condescending is easy, you simply see the incredible delusional state one must be in to be a religious person and you can't help but wonder about their intelligence and talk down to them. It's simply a reflexive action, the Christian in question could be the most intelligent person alive, but that kind of blatant ignoring of reality negates any intelligence,it really does bring the Christian back down to the level of the caveman looking at the eclipse and thinking the world is going to end. Hope that helps.

Very few atheists can't defend their positions. Disbelief as the default position is childishly easy to defend. People in general become abusive when they're confronted with ignorance and arrogance and I think many Christians themselves would concede that there's a lot of that amongst conservative Christianity.

I don't get mad at all.
I come here for entertainment and discussion and never get angry. I am only condecending to the same stupid questions that get asked more than five times a day. Sorry, it gets a little boreing hearing Pascals wager 10 times every day. If you are going to ask moronic questions, you should be prepared to be treated accordingly.

I am currently Agnostic, I was atheist for a while, Baptist for years, still trying to find the right place for me! I won't be "condescending" to you or try to "Size you up", if you may. I will respond to your questions respectfully, as long as you do the same. I know that life can get stressful sometimes, but we need to be secure in ourselves before we may be secure in others! You know you faith, and that is great. Please respect that others may believe differently than you do. In The Bible, Jesus states that while we should celebrate our faith, that praying out loud just so others may hear is living in Vain. Be strong in your faith, not in the faith of others. Remember this, and someday you will be able to be a true follower of Christ.

We're all a little insecure. Atheists sometimes more than others. maybe as people of good faith we should offer a branch of friendship and attempt to form some kind of understanding and acceptance. This is the kind of people we all should strive for.

I think people don't treat atheists as they treat theists, thats what spurs hatred in them. A lot of people are ignorant too. Although most of the atheists I have come across here are polite, but there are arrogant, rude and proud ones too.
