an assembly discussing the protestant revolution and Martin luther.

Luther was called to either renounce 48(?) of his 95 the theses or stand by his writings...he stood by his critique of the Catholic churhc. He was granted safe passage to and from the diet, although his arrest was ordered after he was returned home. On his journey back he was "kidnapped" by a Prince and he went into hiding. When he came out the church did it's best to ignore him and he was never arrested, although he did campaign for reform his whole life, however, he did die a Catholic.

It actually had nothing to do with either eating or fishbait.

A "Diet" was a church council. "Worms" was a town. The Diet of Worms, therefore, was an important church council held in the town of Worms.

The elders in the RCC were discussing the problem called "Martin Luther".

Actually it was the trial where Martin Luther a former Roman Catholic priest had to stand trial for his life for "Heresy",for saying many of the Churches practices were anti-biblical.At the end he "Here I stand ,I can do no more".
Well, he lived and started the Lutheran Church.
