I'm a catholic. We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, and born of the Father before all ages. light of light, true God of true God. Begotten not made, consubstantial to the Father, by whom all things were made. Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven. And was incarnate of the Holy Ghost and of the Virgin Mary and was made man; was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate, suffered and was buried; and the third day rose again according to the Scriptures. And ascended into heaven, sits at the right hand of the Father, and shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead, of whose Kingdom there shall be no end. And in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of life, who proceeds from the Father , who together with the Father and the Son is to be adored and glorified, who spoke by the Prophets. And one holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We confess one baptism for the remission of sins. And we look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen."

There are hundreds of religions in this world. Most of them state that if you follow the code of the religion, good things will happen (now or after you are dead). If you do not follow it, bad things will happen. No matter what you believe, following it seems like a good low-risk choice: If it's all made up, you haven't lost much. If it's true, you "win" (good things are coming your way).
But as mentioned there are hundreds of religions, and most state that you CANNOT believe in other religions (polytheism). It other words, you have 1/100 or so chance that you pick the right one, and 99/100 of picking one that will not give you all the stipulated benefits. How do you know which is the right one? How does geography (where you are born) influence your choice?
Are you a bad person, because you grew up in a muslim country with brainwashing high priests? What if all you have ever heard from everybody that you trust is that you get the key to Heaven by conducting terrorism?
Religion is a dual-egged sword. It may help you to be a better person, or it may be abused to make its follower the worst criminals on Earth.

Religion can be similar to a 'ticket' for you to come close and see to the world of divinity.
Also, religion acts like a map to you. A map to the place that no one will ever understand until certain period of time in which you may realise something that is so special about you, your life, your family, your friends and most of all...something so special about God.
Religion can also be your shirt of life. If you do not profess any religion, you are no different with those people that walking around nakedly. In other words, without it, you are lack of something that very basic in your life, right?

Religion is what you make of it. I don't think you need to be a member of a certian congregation in order to be religious or spiritual. I believe there is a higher being, but am not a member of a certian denomination.

I am a Christian and I think organized religion is pretty much a fashion show/ money racket. I worship God and pray to Him and study the scripture in my own home.

After the fall of Adam and Eve, God and man were separated, that is why in the old testament they had to bring a slained lamb to the alter. After Jesus died on the cross, He became the sacrificed Lamb of God so now we access to the Father once again as did Adam and Eve. But we need to have our hearts opened to the Lord so He can use us on earth.

I'm an atheist. I am convinced there is no such thing as a god or gods, therefore I have no belief in any.
As for religion, I think it's vicious nonsense.

personally i think that people should follow whatever religion they want, but attempting to convert people is just wrong. let me believe what i believe and i wont foist my views on anyone else either. i am atheist, personally, but i would never dream of telling anyone with a god that theyre stupid for believing in him/her/it.
