i was over at a friends house last friday and i think we contacted my grandfather. it will be 14 years this new years eve (he passed away on new years eve). i asked a few questions for my grandfather to answer so i would know i would know that it was really him. my friend told me what the answers were and they were right. plus my friend told me to hold out my hand to where my grandfather was sposed to be standing and i could feel his hand. is my friend really a medium?

It's very hard for me to tell exactly what happened. Could your friend have known the answers to questions through your conversations? Did your friend say he/she was a medium? Most people don't. Many people are able to "see" departed relatives and 'hear' answers to the questions posed. However, I am a little concerned about you feeling his hand. Once a spirit goes to the next plane of existence, very little of the physical EVER comes back. Did you want it to be your grandfather so badly that you convinced yourself you felt him? If that is not the case, I wonder if your presence didn't call him to you, rather than your friend's. Sounds like you had a wonderful relationship with your grandfather either way. Relish that.

It isn't real. Not saying you were but if you were under the influence of any drugs, thats probably the reason. You couldn't actually feel his hand, you might think that there was something like a presense there, like a really cold feeling or something but it's all in your head. As far as the questions go, the "medium" must have somehow known the answers. You cannot contact the dead. It's just not a possible thing, if somebody is dead, then they are dead no matter what you do or say.

We are all mediums because we carry around a force in all our bodies. Not all of us have a manifesting body however.
You said that she answered the questions correctly. So she can speak to the dead. She can hear them. That doesn't make her a medium as you say. I would say that that doesn't mean she has a manifesting body. If she did your grandfather would have manifested himself on her and then he would speak to you through her. That is the way i know it works.

We are all mediums. However we are all on different spiritual levels. Some of us are in kindergarten, few of us are doing our "master" degree in spirituality.
If you ever succeed achieving deep state of meditation you'll discover many wonders.

I doubt it, plus if it does "work" why disturb the dead and the balance of life and stuff like that.
