I have recently ordered one of those get rich quick things, and read all the books, watched the movies, and did everything else. It is legit, and I could possibly make a lot of money. Here's the kicker: all the work is just calling people and pretty much telling them that their property is worth less than it really is. A lot less. Like thousands less. Then I talk them into selling it to me. Then i find someone with a lot of money, and tell them it is worth more than it is. These people buy the property for a lot more than it's worth, when realy the owner think I am buying it. I keep the difference. It's lying to many people about a lot of money. I wanted to do this so I could save up some cash to go back to bible school. Is this a way God has blessed me with resources to make money? Or is it moraly wrong to lie to people and then pretty much steal from them by taking advantage of their lack of knowledge. Seriously, i need some advice. Thanks.

I get tha ti would be ripping people off, but grocery stores pay less for their product than they charge you, so is it the same pricipal, only on a larger scale? If it is, can it really be against God?

Have you ever heard the cliche "WWJD" or "What Would Jesus Do?"
I'm not like one of those bracelet-wearer's or anything, but I think it can be applied at times. Would Jesus, if He were alive today (that is, in person), choose the profession that you are debating over?
I personally don't think so.

Lets see. If I LIED to YOU and took advantage of YOU just so I could make MONEY what would you have to say? I have to question your sincerity about wanting to KNOWINGLY STEAL from others so you can go to BIBLE SCHOOL and then wonder if you are doing the right thing.
Asked another way, would you play poker with me if the deck were marked and I knew it and you didn't? I lie, cheat, and steal your pay check away from you. Oh, well, more money for me. It's too bad you are a stupid person.
STEALING IS WRONG. IT'S IN THE BIBLE. (Yes, I'm yelling at you. Read your Bible. I'm pretty sure there are a few verses that talk about stealing and sowing what you reap.)

If you have to ask this question, I don't know what to tell you. And comparing it to grocery stores buying products at a wholesale price and then marking them up for sale is not even a valid comparison. Everyone is cognizant of the fact that the price we pay at the market is a markup. If grocers couldn't mark prices up, then stores wouldn't be able to stay open. What you're proposing doing is something altogether different. You're talking about lying and outright stealing. Hell, when you get the money, don't even bother going to Bible school. It obviously wouldn't do you any good.

A Grocer has to charge more than he paid for an item to pay his electricity bill and help and so on but to tell people that their property is worth way less than it is and to buy it is a LIE and then to get another person with money and tell them that it is worth a lot more is ANOTHER LIE so I would not see where you would even doubt that it is WRONG

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Telling someone their property is worth less than it is actually is lying.
If it is really God's will that you go to Bible college, ask Him to sell some of the cattle on a hill.
(See Psalm 50:10)
God will provide you a way. Do you really think you will be blessed at Bible college if you got there dishonestly?

Cheating people in order to afford Bible school is a really strange idea. You're not serious, are you?
And the scheme might not be as easy as you think anyway.
Making a profit, even a big profit, is perfectly legitimate, if you're not abusing people's trust. Find an honest way to make a profit.

Robin Hood in reverse. Steal from the poor and sell to the rich.
You're a cad, mate.
There's no moral dilemma here. It's pure greed.
The Bible says it's on the same level as deviate sexual behavior:

You need to pray about this and ask God for his way for you to return and He might not even want you to return at all.
While this may be a temptation for you, it most certaianly is not what God wants for you. God does not want you to ever lie and steal. You will feel much better finding another way, one that you will know is the right way for you.I am serious, you can do better than this!

it's not the same principle as a grocery store. you are going to convince people of something that is not true. if you were going to be like retail stores you would find a house that is already on the market, buy it, fix it up or hold on to it, and then try to sell it for profit. what you are doing could probably get you arrested for fraud.

My feeling is that it's against the teaching in the Bible. Because you said you have to lie to people. Find another way to go to Bible school.
Good luck and my prayers are with you.
