Not only presidents, also mayors etc. How the world would be if the government of all the countries in the world were dominated by women instead of men like today?

How did you come to believe whatever you believe, and, what was the most significant factor that influenced that decision?

I'm a married woman with children, but I have this ridiculous crush on my pastor. He's young and good-looking, and I recently started thinking about him in a romantic way. He used to be my spiritual advisor, but I stopped meeting with him when I developed these feelings. I still see him daily at prayer group as well as several other times a week at church. He isn't aware of any of this as far as I know.

Isnt the fact that Atheist believe in nothing actually a sudo belief system in itself? To not believe in anything religious is actually to believe in something nonreligious thus they are believers of a sort with thier own rules. (And to not have any rules is to have rules about not having any rules). We are all servents of some faith be it religious or not. I will respect yours if you respect mine.

Why do so many people, including atheists, try to interpret atheism as anything more than that?

One of the oldest religions on the planet is extremely "spiritual" and is also atheistic.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jainism

Atheism has no other meaning than the one stated in the subject line.

Yesterday, a man and a woman knocked on my door while I was reading a good book. Evidently, they were going through the neighborhood and witnessing to people.
First, they asked me if I went to church. I said that I used to, but I don't go very often anymore because after a while it got to where I was hearing the same thing every Sunday. Their eyes got kind of wide, and they told me that I needed to keep the Sabbath holy. Then, they started quoting some verses from Revelation--the ones about how those whose names are not in the Book of Life will be cast into the Lake of Fire.

I was going to ask them what that had to do with me, since I actually have been baptized. But they just kept going on and on, and when they finally shut up they gave me a flyer that had their church's name and address on it along with a Chick Tract.
Why do so many Christians get like this? I don't see many Pagans, Jews, etc. that are like this. I'm sure there are some, but I don't seem to come across them.

America is a collection of all creeds, colors, races, nationalities, and religions. We are not one group of people here and do not all follow the same views. Some views we bring from our individual cultures and places of origin. So shouldn't all nations claim the negative and positive views of the US?

Because its all about modesty. Some muslims just have a higher since of modesty than others do.

Its the same as arguing if people should be allowed to walk around nude... because if they want to, its their choice right?

Is truth, or the belief that truth cannot lie, the original sin ?

Back in 1987 it was noted that that 'childrens Aid Society' had been corrupted.

The use of a half-truth, a truth that lies was discovered at work polarizing the family. The model was "men who abuse, women and children victims'.

The model was not only attacking men, but included the cult-feminist model of all women as victims of men. (Some are but not all ... in fact last week an elderly woman was attacked by three teenage girls...)

Anyway seems in the last 19 years everytime I mention that truth can lie, most people can't understand this concept.

Seems like it may be the original sin from the Garden of Eden, when mankind, Adam and Eve, took of the tree of knowledge, Truth, and were deceived to believe that they would be LIKE God to know The Truth.

Is truth, or the belief that Truth cannot lie, the original sin ?

...the existence of spirituality?

I'm not talking of a big monkey in the sky with flowing beard, etc. Just the concept of the universe having a consciousness of its own, shared with all life in a form we call "Love".

Forget the creation myths, the rules and regulations, etc...just the idea of a conscious universe. Is that not "spiritual" to you?
