I need input in trying to help a Nonprofit group(s) in the Syracuse, NY area obtain funds to assist in their ability to help the community. I offered my marketing resources, grant research and writing and volunteering my services for free for a whole 3-years. I do not live in the city but would like to. I would travel 15 miles each way to attend community meetings just to find out how I could be of assistance I told them my services would be free until they got past the ground stages, then we could discuss my fees which would have been low and put back into the community.. They then said we are not there yet and would not need such services until they found a building to purchase for what we are trying to do which is still not determined. They currently have a a very small budget of less than $20k and have a 503c status in real estate which would be a great help in the area. Not sure if I should walk away from them or continue to try and help in lieu of their ignorance?

What single event in society has changed you, a negative and a positive one. I am curious, I am writing a paper about this... and can think of events that have made me look at the world in a different way, and were negative. However, the last week I have been thinking of a positive one, and can not do so. Maybe, I am overlooking good events that made me who I am. I am also only 19 and have not been alive for many events.

There is a 26 year old girl I work with who has 9 kids. I'm not even kidding. She is single and 7 of the kids have different fathers (there are one set of twins). Two of her kids live with her mom and one with her aunt.
I went to school with this girl who has four kids by different fathers. She goes out drinking every night and has her brother who is mentally handicapped watch her kids.
There is a girl who lived next door to my friend and she was about 28 and had 5 kids and was pregnant with another. Her kids were malnorished and abused. My friend said her baby would wake up in the middle of the night crying and she would not attend to it. The baby would be fed with dirty bottles with dried milk crusted all over them. She would beat her kids for every little thing they did wrong and would have the oldest who was 10 babysit when she went out! I called children's services on this woman twice and nothing happened! She ended up moving. I also heard that she was deliberatly keep getting

this would get rid of at least half of the crime in the country, and the people would become more moral and trustful as well. the only people who could object to this are muslims and liberals. perhaps special allowances could be made for jews.

But they had to learn the term atheism and conform also to that idea? Hmm.

Maybe every one was born a mystic and throughout their childhood they were completely amazed at everything and desired to understand everything until someone told them to conform into thinking a certain way.
You could argue that also about learning the term mystic I suppose, but to be constantly involved into a focus or idea you cannot argue, that's what kids do and that is for the most part what being a mystic is about from what I have read.
Quite possibly, atheism is a form of mysticism.
There are most when I need to be atheist at times for a current problem, but I cannot hold it, for my next focus will cause again the amazement of beauty.
Maybe we should give ourselves more credit?

Your thoughts?

My question about Julianna Wetmore was not soliciting.
I just had the compassion to email this and put it in Yahoo Anwers to make people aware of Treacher Collins Syndrom and the very severe case of Juliannna. I copied and pasted from the website the addresses for monetary donations.

But just having one email sent, one dollar sent, one church, synagoge, temple, or mosque to make a collection, one hotel chain to offer this family a nights stay (they have to travel for all the surgeries) ,.............. or just one prayer................it doesn't matter. Charity of any kind is good in the eyes of God. It's good in a human being to give to those less fortunate.
We do so much for so many when there is a disaster...........This is just one little girl!

If you didn't like my question, move on with your comments to some pathetic question..........
I have seen many on Y Q&A's
But I WILL continue my efforts on this story and may God Bless this family.

Google : Julianna Wetmor

"Freed by full realization and at peace, the mind of such a man is at peace, and his speech and action peaceful. He has no need for faith who knows the uncreated, who has cut off rebirth, who has destroyed any opportunity for good or evil, and cast away all desire. He is indeed the ultimate man"
- Buddha -

If you disagree, please explain and back up your beliefs with logic, prefferably not circular. Thank you.

4:86 But when you are greeted with a greeting [of peace], answer with an even better greeting, or [at least] with the like thereof. Verily, God keeps count indeed of all things.

8:61 But if they incline to peace, incline thou to it as well, and place thy trust in God: verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing!

2:139 Say [to the Jews and the Christians]: "Do you argue with us about God? But He is our Sustainer as well as your Sustainer - and unto us shall be accounted our deeds, and unto you, your deeds; and it- is unto Him alone that we devote ourselves.

16:97 As for anyone - be it man or woman - who does righteous deeds, and is a believer withal - him shall We most certainly cause to live a good life. and most certainly shall We grant unto such as these their reward in accordance with the best that they ever did.
