Americans don't like French people, their culture, their politics, their traditions. But do you think you are better than them ? You don't know anything about the world outside your own country. You aren't even able to cut your pollution sources because you don't want to lose anything of your too comfortable life even though it may lead to natural disasters soon.

What is it like to live in an isolated community? Is it necessary to be a ship/boat-minded person to enjoy life on the island? Do land-lubbers adjust as well as sailors? Do you have children? Do they attend school on the island? Does family visit? Is your home self-sufficient? Electricity? Medical care? Internet? Community activities? What is your relationship with your neighbors like? How do you make a living?

I'm curious as anything and want to know all that I can learn about island life. If you live on an island and can find the time, please share all that you can. Thanks so much.

This has been addressed so many times. But,I'm going to address it myself. Who are the people who are against bi/gay/lez/unlabeled, to judge them?To say it's not "normal"? Who gave them the final say in what is "normal"?Oh give me a break, the word shouldn't even exist. What they should say is "I don't like, and I know some others that don't like it, so you shouldn't do it", thats DUMB.Then they throw up the bible. I am a believer, but I can say that's such a cop out. It's all about faith, but when it comes to facts, almost everything in the bible cannot be scientically proven, so for all you know, some biggot could have written some of those statings. Some people need to stop speaking as if they are God and let him do his job, individually with the people who believe in him.The only thing they have against it is the bible, as far as that, what else is "wrong" with it? Have they harmed anyone in any way soley because of who they happen to fall in love with (same sex)? No nothing.

Everyday I get a word from the dictionary,just random picks but the Lord, Oh, he has been giving me this words for about a year now..I pray and the next morning when I go to read the word of the day, it has been about something I prayed to him about,,he gives the word!! Just take a look at it,,I prayed about why there are some people who just don't believe that the Lord is real!! My word will explain why...Thank you Lord for this message..

I'm a Christian and I believe in Jesus Christ my savior, but is it against God's teachings to practice mindfulness in Buddhism. Because it's a wise thing to do and not a sinful thing, it teaches you to be good and to respect. So is it bad if I practice mindfulness and Christianity together? I want a good answer from a Christian.

Our church based organization will have a speaker next month.
The flyer says Free, donations accepted.
Anyone have any success stories...on how to respectfully ask
for donations, but still get enough to cover expenses and
generate some income?
Only options I can think of are polite questions at the door (with "hat/basket " in hand), sign/basket at door, "passing the hat".
I'm also going to look into books at our library.

Also, if anyone has an idea of how to better categorize this question, I am all ears!

I was taught that the correct way to hold a pen(cil) was with the index finger held straight outward away from the writer, the thumb doing the same.The other three fingers supporting the hand. I know that sounds difficult but go on, try it. I see kids today with the pen entirely hidden in a clutched type writing style, all of the fingers pointing backwards for heavens sake! As well as this they do not sit in an upright position, but bend over entirly covering their work. My way is totally relaxed and that way I can write for hours without difficulty. Are children taught this way now or is it simply that they have never been taught the correct way?

why every body keeps insulting and degrading islam and Muhammad(pbuh).
no muslim published gods and prophets of other religions in bad way(dutch incident), no muslim flushed any other religious book in toilet(guantanamo ), no muslim cleric insulted other religion(pope), no muslim country attacked other country without reason(US attacked iraq),
muslims are just defending their right to live honourably and with respect, will americans just tolerate iraqi forces in their country, that too when they rape, torture, and kill innocents.

why do charities like cancer research, and r.s.p.c.a, and many other send you letters in the post every week asking for you to donate? Then put a free pen in with the letter?

ok even if these pens they send out cost them 1p,
and they send out a few million letters, with a pen in each letter,
could not that 1p they pay for those pens be used for the charity instead?

ok even if the pen company are giving them the pens free would it not be better to say just give us the 1p for each pen instead?

what do u think?
