Americans don't like French people, their culture, their politics, their traditions. But do you think you are better than them ? You don't know anything about the world outside your own country. You aren't even able to cut your pollution sources because you don't want to lose anything of your too comfortable life even though it may lead to natural disasters soon.

As much as we Americans suck for our reasons, the French suck for their reasons. I've traveled and lived globally and every culture is annoying in some way.

I love the French. I live in Britain and hear the same things said about the French - not sure why though.
Loved my trip to Paris in August. The people were great, the culture stunning and what a beautiful place!

Ignorance and jealousy, I should think. Most of my best friends are French and I have loved their country and culture for decades. I go to France several times a year. They have the best food and wine in the world and a beautiful country.

UK people are the same, they dislike the French. I love them, I think they're kind, very clever as alot of them can speak excellent English, and they're Government, culture even country is just brilliant.

Mostly 'cos they're rude and arrogant, I guess.
Overly proud of themselves, their language, their nation, treat others with often barely disguised disdain and contempt unless you meet their terms. I'm widely travelled (Americas, Europe, Asia but not Africa) and there're no other peoples I've met who are quite as bad in this respect.
If you get through the attitude though, they're just like anyone else. And they do have a great country for themselves.

Because their food will give you a massive coronary, they don't bathe, their women never shave, and they always surrender. That's why communist and socialist like you dig them. That and you seemed to answer your own question: General rudeness.
