Well it means he will bless those how try to keep peace and not war with others. Don't do wrong and he will bless u and reward u with eternal life in his kingdom. By the way I hope and pray the photo is not u if so I am sure u are better looking with out the crazy makeup and hair. Let me ask u what has someone done to u that cause u to be so crazy acting. Try to deal with problems by praying and don't show the world u have been wronged by the way u dress. Tell them how they have wronged u and move on all they do now is laugh at u for they way u dress. don't give them the pleasure. Show them u are better than they are by being the wonderful person I and God knows u can be

You're conflating Beatitudes. Matthew 5:9 says "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God" The importance of peacemakers is even greater than you think. Peacemakers will be called sons of God. Wow! What Christian wouldn't want that?
I was raised in a Methodist Church with a seventy five year old PhD pastor with degrees in a dozen subjects. His particular preferred brand was Kingdom Theology. I always admired and loved Dr. Todd, and it wasn' until I was in seminary that I really understood the theology and vision that drove his extraordinary energy, compassion, curiosity, good humor and optimism till his death at 96. He believed that Jesus preached the Kingdom of God on Earth, today, not in some distant future at the end of days, but in the here and now, manifested every time someone acts in a way that those in the Kingdom of Heaven would act. That's really the idea behind now really stale "What Would Jesus Do" bracelets. it's the idea of being a savior and deliverer of every one you meet, and that if we all behaved in that way we would be in paradise today. What good thing can be enjoyed without peace?
For me, the Beatitudes, more than any other sermon, more than anything Jesus supposedly said, illustrates the priorities of the Kingdom of God.

Crow James,
This is from the Holy Bible that some people call Gods word. The reference of this scripture is found in Matthew 5:9.
A peacemaker is one who promotes peace to others who can help others solve arguments they are good mediators very calm and very relaxed people, a peace maker is also a person who knows how to be in the moment and be in Gods presence they are in a state of being not in a state of always doing and being busy. They love spending time with the Lord and just listening to him. My husband is a peacemaker.

The peace Jesus tells us about has nothing to do with political or societal peace; instead, it pertains to peace within the body of Christian believers, who are the family of God. Once we have been made righteous through the rebirth, our love for each other is supposed to draw us together in peace. These are true believers, sons and daughters of God, who are promised an inheritance in God's Kingdom on earth following Jesus' return.
Peace.

Jesus was pointing out an obvious fact. The folks who engage in war and violence will eventually eliminate themselves from the planet because of their stupidity and the peace loving people will be the only ones left. See Jesus was a Darwinist ... survival of the smartest.

To begin with:
2 Peter 1:20
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of ANY PRIVATE INTERPREATATION.
21-For the prophecy came not in old time by the willl of man: but HOLY MEN OF GOD spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
It is just one more thing Christians must do to please God. (Be a peace maker ) not to cause trouble.

As hard as it is to compromise when you feel your opinion is valid, it's most important to change hearts and minds. Those who truly strive to help others, especially by forgoing their desire to be "right," are destined for heaven.
Personally, I'm not terribly good at that!
