I mean I understand there is a difference, and I know that native speakers just automatically know it, but can anyone explain how to know which to use, or do I just have to memorize it for every verb and prepostion?
(For a minute today, I thought I was catching on...but no, not really.)
(If you have any insight into "nach" and gender, while you're at it, I'm listening!)
Merci vielmal as they unhelpfully say here in Zurich.

Why do people in Europe work less per week than American's? This article says that factory workers at VW in Germany now work 33 hours per week, up from the previous 28 hours/week. When I was in highschool I worked at least 25 hours a week while attending school. My mother works at a steel plant here in Ohio and works just under 60 hours/week. Why don't europeans work as much, but at the same time, they are better at saving money than americans?

I think it's funny and ironic (given the fact that gay men aren't really recognized by the church...especially as priests). I just want to understand what the draw is...I also think it's funny that they are switching to being Episcopalians, because the Episcopal church is also ruled by cannonic law, yet is much more understanding and open to different kinds of people.

I know, I know...this question might make you angry...do your research, you will see that I speak the truth...

Pretty weird stuff. All the major leaders of the world (even old communist leaders used to) come together to burn stuff infront of a huge stone owl that they call Molech, [both republicans (the Bushes, Cheney, Reagan) and democrats (Jimmy Carter, Clinton) for you americans out there] the same owl deity that was worshipped in ancient babylon. It has been confirmed by various ex-workers that they engage in allsorts of homo-orgies in the woods too and that women aren't allowed to work there.

Grown men, with control over the world, bow before some lame stone owl and plug eachother in the bum in the forest. Am i the only one freaked out by this?

Is this just a product of the word that starts with a b and ends with rainwashing, that persons who see non-thesists accuse them of making themselves God?

Is this hypocrisy, for example, in Mere Christianity they believe if they believe in Jesus they receive something called the holy spirit, which to them is a part of GOd, meaning they are themselves God.

Isn't that slightly hypocritical to say that just cause I don't become your God that I'm somehow trying to become God and imply that this is bad.

Can I reverse it and still be intellectally honest and just ask for one single proof of God before we all go shooting our mouths off about who wants to be God?

I'm an atheist and i do support capital punishment (for murderers only) since I think it's the best way to secure society from people who has no regard for human life. I know many of antheists don't support it and I find myself in a tricky position when I consider the human life as sacred and yet favor death penalty. My approach to resolve this contradiction is to think that people who give themselves authority to kill someone (i'am talking about deliberate murder, not self-defense or war situation) don't deserve fair treatment and should be eliminated as they pose threat to others. What's your opinon? (If you are a religiuos fanatic, please don't respond to this question)

I see on TV that people REALLY think there are aliens and truly believe they have been abducted. I DON'T see proof and don't see any scientific evidence that holds up to scrutiny. So...I put the question out there.

I want real answers from Christians even if you personally discriminate. I as an atheist have been asulted vebally many times though luckily tha's as far as it's gone, I know fellow atheists who have had worse happen. Atheists were found to be the least trusted americans even more so than Muslims and homosexuals. Most americans say they would never vote for an atheist presidential canidate. Plain and simple atheists are the most discriminated group in this country, why? I don't hate Christians and other theists, though if I wanted it's not like there are a lack of reasins for me to do so. SO now the MUSLIM COMMUNITY is mad at the POPE?
the Pope recently upset the Muslim world with some ill-advised comments concerning the religion of Islam. Other things that have recently upset the Muslim community include Dutch cartoons, the sun, Diet Pepsi, artificial turf, the cast of Lost, Newark, ice cubes and pretty much anything else that isn't exclusively Islamic. Except for Tony Danza. They love that guy.
So why are the rest of us tripping over each other to either write, or read about this stupid crap? Let's just put the fingers in ears, and say "LA LA LA", like when we were kids. I am a muslim, and I don't care what the Pope says.

The USA is the only industrialized democracy that does not have it. Those 22 nations spend half as much per person, and everyone is covered. They are not gouged by insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, etc. Universal health care saves money and lives. I think live people should get more attention than fetuses.

I ask because I have been viewing some of the questions that are on this thing. And I see that we ALL believe that there is a Super Natural being. We call Him different names but hey. I say Tom you say Tim. We saw the same thing, but from different seats. But my point is. Do these same people believe in the Devil. Because God is on Our side, if We ask Him to be. The Devil is out recruting, handing out flyers, sending demons in every house , every school, place of business, church, mas, temple. He wants things like this, to stir up everyones mind about their Belief. Making us second guess ourGod, but never thinking about him. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled, was convincing everyone he didnt exsist. So if you believe there is a Devil, who you gonna get to help defeat him. Because You can't!!!.

Thanks for you answers.
