India is a multicultural country. There are many festivals in India. The following are a few:
January - Shankaranti - Celebrating harvest in many parts of the country.
February/March/April - Local new year - Lunar New Year - Baishaki etc.
August/September - Ganesh chaturthi - Festival celebrating Lord Ganesh
September/October - Navratri or Dusserah and Diwali, Janmashtami - Lord Krishna's birth
The above are some of the Hindu festivals.
In addition - English New Year, Easter, Christmas and other Christian festivals are celebrated with equal fervor in India.
Muslim festivals like Bakrid, Ramzan are also celebrated.
Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists and others celebrate their religious festivals too.

I am sure, you don't want a long list for the sake of it.
If you witness Dusehra and Durga Pooja and see the dazzling glitter of Dewali, you would have the best of it.
Happy fastivals. Good memories! All the Best.
