Most people use words and labels without thinking about what they really mean. It's ignorance and it's hard to get rid of.

These are not my words but they are true. I don't understand how Atheists can see all these things in nature and not see that God planned and created it all.
93 million miles from the blistering surafce of the sun stands the planet earth. A rotating sphere perfectly suspended in the center of the universe. The ultimate creation from an infinate mind. An unbelievably intricate co mplex design. A supernatural testimony, an irrefutable sign that there is a God.
The size, position and angle of the earth is a scientific phenomenon to see. A few degrees closer to the sun we'd disintegrate, a few degrees furter we'd freeze. The axis of the earth is titled at a perfect 23 degree angle and it's no mistake that it is. This allows equal global distribution to the rays of the sun making it possible for the food chain to exist.
Or take for example the combination of nitrogen and oxygen in the atmosphere we breathe every day. It just happens to be the exact mix that life needs to prosper, it doesn't happen on any other planet that way.
You see, the Bible says the invisible things of God are seen through His creation, to believe this is not hard. If there's a design, there's a designer, if there's a plan, there's a planner and if there's a miracle, there is a God.
The Scripture says the heavens decalre the glory of God and the skies proclaim the work of His hands. If we allow our minds to drink in all the truth that surrounds the truth that just surrounds us, creation itself will help us understand.
Did you know the moon controls the tides? It's the maid that cleans the oceans. Even the waves don't crash the shores in vain. The tides drag impurities from the depths of the sea, it's nature's constrant recycling chain.
It simply boggles the mind to think that the stars will rotate with such exact precision that it's true. That the atomic clock, with an error factor of less than three seconds per millenium, is set by the way we move.
Though they silently orbit, the sun, the moon, the stars are like celestial evangelists above. Who circle the earth every 24 hours shouting in every language that there is a God. Atheism is the wedge under the foundation of our faith, trying to topple our relationship with Christ. When the fool said in his heart 'there is no God' he rejects the truth God painted on the canvas of the night. Atheism has never created an artistic masterpiece, never healed a fatal disease or calmed a fear. Atheism has still never given answers to our existence, peace to a troubled mind or even dried a tear.
For it's God who created heaven and earth and flung the stars in space and breathed in the handful of dirt and it became a man. It's God who sits on the circle of the earth and measures the mountains in a scale, and holds the seven seas in the palm of His hand. It's God who sent His only begotten Son to the cross of Calvary to save our souls from Hell and the grave. It's God who creates, God who delivers, God who heals and who is worthy of a thunderous ovation of praise!

Actually....atheism means the doctrine or belief that there is no god (dictionary.com). That's what it means to me--I simply choose to belief that there are no higher powers, no deities. However, that is not my only belief. I also believe in secular humanism (although visiting yahoo answers is sorely testing that belief). Atheism is not an organized set of beliefs. People who are atheists can quite easily have nothing in common other than a lack of belief in god.
For example, I know that many atheists believe that they are free to do whatever they want without regard for the well-being of others, simply because there is no deity to stop or punish them. Others believe (as I do) that everyone has a moral responsibility to themselves and those around them to do what is right to the best of their ability. These beliefs are not really part of atheism, per se....they are the result of how lack of belief in a deity shapes our thoughts and actions.

I guess it would be like saying a christian just saying "there is a god" with no other explaination behind it. For some reason with any type of religion, faith, etc.. people tend to think there has to be explaination to follow.. when really , there doesn't.
Agnostics believe there is no proof either way, therefore they just do not know. Atheists believe there is nothing, no god, or anything after we die.
Really.. religion and faith and spirituality is deeply psychological and for some a mental illness.

That's not quite correct. What you have described can be considered either a rational approach to the existence of god or an agnostic belief -- but not atheistic.
Atheism by definition is the *denial* of the existence of god. A true atheist states flatly that there is no god, period. Not that there's no evidence that he exists, but that he does not exist. While some who say they're atheists reach their conclusion that there is no god by the rational evaluation of the lack of evidence, the statement that there is no god is a belief, just as much as the statement that there is a god, since it cannot be proven objectively.
From a purely intellectual point of view, the denial of god is just as unsupportable as the belief in god. Neither can be proven.
The agnostic approach -- that there is no evidence of god, and that even if he does exist it makes no difference in human existence or life on earth in any way, is the only intellectually defensible one.

The majority of atheists consider evolution to be true, but there is no evidence of any kind to prove it.Not one transitional fossil exists. They recently uncovered King Solomons gate in Israel, but I don't see people going crazy.Consider, people still denied Jesus Christ back when he was doing miracles before their very eyes. Why should nowadays be any different.

having been a former and recovering christ a holic
I have to say I started with circular accepted thought not with blank slate and stuck to my rationale until too much fact and truth overwhelmed me
I used to claim just look around at god's creation (assuming stories of Nature originating from god were true)
I used to say you can't be spiritual with out believing in god, god's son or holy ghost, anything else was hellish or sereration from god and "they" or heathens were unspiritual or not
'god filled'
I like your point,
you can't say Jesus advocated compassion and social justice for everyone - without spelling Jainism
in the end leaving christianity or god belief was not the end, but a beginning. I am still reading Sankara Saranam's book,
God Without Religion - questioning centuries of accepted truths

I have proof there is a maker of this world, and proves atheism is wrong. Ready for the proof! Here it is. When you look at a building or a painting or a car, boat etc. all these things have a maker, somebody designed them. You can't look at a skyscraper building and say "I don't believe anybody created it, I think it just happened" that sounds ridiculous right. So when you look at the world (earth). The Earth tells us that there is a chief architect who designed and made the Earth. And the human eye is soooo advanced that science still can't figure it out. So that is my point. Thanks for your time.

I dont know!!!! Thats true but Even some atheists turn it into a religion, when the truth is it is the furthest from that. IF you dont believe in evidence that supports god, then you dont believe. Thats not a religion.
What the hell.......Maybe some of them are confused and perhaps think they are agnostic or something....................
