Granted not ALL believers are brainwashed, but quite obviously SOME are.... people always get mad when atheists and agnostics say believers are brainwashed... when there are things such as what that Jesus Camp movie shows going on in this world, how can you not expect people NOT to think that?

Why not the God mythology?

I offer this up for discussion, how does a non-believer properly refer to the magic wizard concept known as "god".

that in order to have evidence for the existence in God, one must 1st believe? This is contrary to anything and everything rational.
Imagine if I said. In order to see evidence for fairies, you must first believe in fairies, then every time it rains you will know it was a fairy.
I think I would be classified as insane for that.

Do you believe once saved always saved? If you don't mind please include your preferred faith. I'm of Southern Baptist faith and was wondering how many different denominations believe this to be true. Thanks and God bless.

Thanks so much! :)

Using the internet, and yahoo answers as an example, is this the turning point in the history of humanity, where we as a planet will return to the state of being as we were 6000 years ago, before the invention of religion and the God hypothesis, since these arenas are where reason and logic will dominate and disprove the God hypothesis?

Is this an equilizer since there is no fear of retribution here, that reason is allowed to run rampant, unchecked?

Do the people who believe in the God hypothesis fear this change, fear losing the control they have over their fellow human being.

Are the bells of freedom and reason ringing?

Do you hear it?

Ring.

Ring.

Ring.

The time of the God hypothesis is over. We shall overcome.

RAmen?

I need an honest, christian view about my marriage. Before my husband and I got married he said he always wanted a big family so I thought we'd probably have a child. Now that we're married, he says he doesn't want one now and maybe never. He wants me to keep taking my birth control pills. I really want a baby. I wondered if anyone knew of any bible verses that I could read that would give me some comfort and understanding in my situation. Is God even ok with birth control? How does he feel about "withdrawl" which is something else that he does to prevent pregnancy. I know this is a weird subject and please don't respond if you only have critisizing or distasteful answers. Thanks and God Bless.

I've seen a lot of conversation from gay men/women who says that they can't be in a relationship with a person who is bisexual. They say that they wouldn't want to risk being heart broken by a person who could 'jump the fence'. This mentality is odd to me because it suggests that the gay person would not be heart broken if their lover ended the relationship for another gay relationship but they would be if the relationship was hetrosexual. It's as if the impression is that gay men/women are more committed than bisexual ones. I can understand gay men/women fearing the lust issue that many bisexuals carry (myself included); I can understand gay men/women feeling that mentality detrimental to the popular opinion gays and promiscuity. I'm curious about this issue. What is the fear or dislike gays have towards bisexualism? Or is there one at all?

THIS IS A WHAT IF, DON'T FORGET THAT IN YOUR ANSWER.

When hell is mentioned in scripture (and it isn't mentioned that many times, and only in the New Testament) it is referring to a place believers will find themselves in if they do certain things. Jesus, first and foremost, preached to believers and their actions. If our actions are contrary to the way God intended us to live, what if those actions are bringing hell here, now? Your thoughts?

When you men break up with a woman, why do you stil want to check up n them, find out who they are seeing and all, then you want that last night together, why cant you move on when it is over?
Even when you dumped the woman yourself, this still happens, now why is that?

less likely to have health problems or age better. Have you ever saw the little old men/women who have smoked cigars everyday of their life, ate red meat, drank coffee every morning, sunbath without oils and blocks, etc. many live to a ripe old age and still look good. Have you ever seen 30-40 years old active men/women who excercise everyday, are vegetarians, don't drink, don't smoke, wouldn't caught dead without sublock, but drop dead on their morning jog. Shouldn't we live life as we want and not adhere to what we see on the news everyday. I mean if you live to all these studies and crap we wouldn't be able to eat anything, drink, anything, and have any pleasures that life hold.
