Personally,yes today is the first day of the rest of my life, the choices and actions I experience today will surely have a impact on my future as well as have a impact on those around me. Today is a new day for me, today I can change the course of mylife by thinking,planning and discussing with others what my plan of action is.Its about choice today,I believe we all know what direction we are to take however like me knowing is not enough, I must take action put one foot in front of the other in order to move ahead. As far as this day being just another Monday, it is to some degree however my Mondays and me we change from week to week just like any other day.So hey dont just let today be just another day,you have the ability to start all over, make new decisions, change the areas in your life that youve not done so good at. Gratitude for life, love, pain, joy,friendships, the list goes on, oh one more thing the freedom to have choices and make decisions for ourselves.

Well so far it is just another monday! however latley i have going thru some stuff with a friend of mine and i am trying to work out some issues with regards to it! as is he! and so today i hope to make a good step towards doing that and getting things striaght so yes it could be the first day of the rest of my life!

Here is a little poem I wrote August 6, 2006.
Time-Today
Tick tock, tick tock, the clock is always running
And looking at the clock, you know time is fleeting
Time is no respecter of anyone
To think otherwise would be misleading
So, use the time you have...use it wisely
Don't be fooled that you always have tomorrow
Yesterday is gone and it is today that counts
Today can be all happiness or all sorrow
Be yourself...for time marching on
Never look back, but enjoy today
Have no regrets with today or time
For surely this is the only way

I think you already know the answer. "Yesterday is history; tomorrow is a mystery; today is a gift, that's why we call it the present." So we should be counting our blessings today and making the most of it. It shouldn't be just another Monday.

It's really both. But I like to live my life as if today is the LAST day! I get so much more out of my day doing it that way. But that's just me.
