Have you ever saw the little old men/women who have smoked cigars everyday of their life, ate red meat, drank coffee every morning, sunbath without oils and blocks, etc. many live to a ripe old age and still look good. Have you ever seen 30-40 years old active men/women who excercise everyday, are vegetarians, don't drink, don't smoke, wouldn't caught dead without sublock, but drop dead on their morning jog. Shouldn't we live life as we want and not adhere to what we see on the news everyday. I mean if you live to all these studies and crap we wouldn't be able to eat anything, drink, anything, and have any pleasures that life hold.

I preach that every day at work when they boost me up about that. I've gone against my better judgment and started back to eating meat analogs (morningstar, boca, gardenburger products) and some of them are loaded with preservatives, and sodium; therefore defeating the purpose of a healthy diet. I totally agree with you on that question in a commental form.

i agree w/ what you are saying but you have to keep in mind also; it is not only about taking precaution of the foods we eat or the lifestyle we live alot of our ailments are based on our genetic makeup and heredity. So the studies and news broadcast that are giving these warnings about health should consider that also. what affects you may not affect me vice versa

true, but i remind you one thing...no one is as perfect as they would like to be. even if they do all the things listed above, they are bound to let themselves go at times...plus i go by the philosophy that if you have to die you'll die. full stop. keep yourself healthy, but also treat yourself, and remember to enjoy life. i smoke, drink(at times), eat lots of vegetables, like to get tanned ( no sunbeds), play videogames, occasionally go to the gym...how long will i live? .................who cares! carpe diem!

I really believe that when it's your time...it's your time! God knows when He will call us home; but since we do not it would behoove us to take care of our bodies. Who wants to wants to be 5o years old with cancer, dentures, diabetes, and God knows what else????
