not enemy but more like a fruitless pursuit of comprehending God & His works. according to bible , since the fall of adam & entrance of sin, the human mind has degrade from adam 100% brain operative capacity to our modern day scientifically founded 10%.
adam also mean to be immortal & prefect physically. so if human have stray from the blue print, how could us find our own salvation or control our own afterlife destiny. we need the creator for such a feat.
God said in the bible: For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9)
God Bless & peace, man

A hypothesis is testable, so the 'God hypothesis' is not a hypothesis. It's just a guess.
And yes, even Martin Luther realized that logic and reason are the enemies of faith, and therefore logic and reason must be completely obliterated according to him, lest people lose faith. In this, those who understand logic and reason are direct enemies of the God guess, and anyone who follow the God guess are enemies of logic and reason.
There is a war brewing, bigger than the current culture-shock between muslim and judeochristian cultures, the theist versus atheist conflict. Whoever wins the muslim-judeochristian conflict will be the dominant theist force in the final philosophical war, and either YHVH will win, or logic and reason will win.
I'm on the winning side -- the God guess must die.

Somethings about atheism are illogical, but only if you take them to the extreme. As in, I can't possibly know there is no God, but you can't possibly know the Sun is the source of our heat. You use reasoning and logic to figure those things out. I.e. the sun comes out during the day and that is when it is warmer out. You cannot see God, nor see any proof of his existence, so you can't logically make any reasonable reason to believe in it.
Onward to your real question at hand, we are not the enemy necessarily, as we are the champions of logical thought. If I had some adequate thought process laid out for why people thought what they did, I would accept it, however I have been given none.

Not really. But logical thinkers are not full participants in the God hypothesis. At most we are observers who are waiting for something. Dare I say it? Proof? But one person's proof is another's definition of psychosis.
Everyone is different. That much is true.

We are not God's enemy we are the enemy of religion as man made it. We do not follow their train of thought which makes us dangerous to their religion. Logic is not promoted by any religion, only blind faith.

The Spiritual Warrior sees his opponent as a worthy adversary.
Taking him to greater heights as a human and spiritual being.
He also realizes when one is destroying a lot of impressionable
psyches. And can change into an alter EGO, and make buttheads start whining again!

you're not the enemy. humans are not god's enemy because god created you and loves you no matter if you believe in him or not. if you believe in him and love him back, you will get into heaven. some radical christians might make you feel like you're the enemy just because you don't believe in god, but they're just trying to help you to believe in god because they want you to go to heaven too.
god's enemy is satan, who tries to weave sin into our lives. he's cunning and represents a lot of bad ideas.

It is a logical assumption that people who believe in a higher power do so only for illogical reasons?
What hubris. What ignorance.
