I have been to south africa and botswana and seen it all. entire families of africans are dying of aid's, and the african politicians are still doing their best to sweep it under the carpet. Tabo membeki (president of south africa) and nelson mandela keep accusing western nations of been racist for saying that lots of africans are dying of aids.

why are these african leaders trying to cover it all up?

I was looking fo somthing in my dream and when i walked away i turned around to see that there was a white graish wolf coming towerds me,then i seen more then one,so then i started to run.Thats all i can remeber so far about the dtream.Does anyone have a clue what that could be telling me.They didnt seem like they wanted to kill me but in some sence they did start chacing me.Should i add i ran fast,just like forest gump did,lol.

You have to wonder, when you see so many women intentionally dating men who mistreat them. Maybe those women think that they don't deserve better . . . perhaps a self-esteem issue . . . or maybe some women enjoy being a martyr and try to "prove" something by staying with a low-quality man.

Then again, I suppose that "respect" means different things to different women, just like what supposedly makes a man "confident" in the eyes of a woman.

Yes, it is easy to point a finger and say "well, he/she isn't helping, so why should I?"

Must we follow the lead of those least compassionate? Must we make -them- our leaders, and refuse to offer our assiatcne, our compassion, our love to those most in need?

Can we not do better than they? Must we refuse to do better than they?

There will always be those amongst us whose lives have been so hard or so bitter that they cannot offer compassion or love. But what of us? Have our lives been so devoid of good examples that we cannot do better? That we can't be an example to -them-? That we can't help them to come to a better understanding of love and compassion by showing ours?

There will be those who use this board for preaching. Nature of the beast. But must we join them, arguing over whose god is better or whose religion hates more? Is that the extent of love and compassion?

Will you resist the urge to attack each other, so we can help each other help those worse off than us

We have a basement in our church. Why don't we just set up a closed circuit broadcast of the church service and broadcast it to a big screen in the basement. That way all the shabbily dressed ones, the obese ones, the handicapped ones, the snot nosed kids and the homeless ones can watch it on their own. We won't have to look at them or smell them in our service upstairs.

That would really solve a lot of problems don't you think!
