Yes, it is easy to point a finger and say "well, he/she isn't helping, so why should I?"

Must we follow the lead of those least compassionate? Must we make -them- our leaders, and refuse to offer our assiatcne, our compassion, our love to those most in need?

Can we not do better than they? Must we refuse to do better than they?

There will always be those amongst us whose lives have been so hard or so bitter that they cannot offer compassion or love. But what of us? Have our lives been so devoid of good examples that we cannot do better? That we can't be an example to -them-? That we can't help them to come to a better understanding of love and compassion by showing ours?

There will be those who use this board for preaching. Nature of the beast. But must we join them, arguing over whose god is better or whose religion hates more? Is that the extent of love and compassion?

Will you resist the urge to attack each other, so we can help each other help those worse off than us

Yes. Absolutely. I have asked several questions under the topic of religion and spirituality and although none of them contained any hatred whatsoever many of the responses did. I will not respond with hatred. I will not attack the nay-sayers. I truly do care about all people and will cotinue to do so regardless of any attack that comes my way, and I will do it with great pleasure and honor.

Hmmmm... this would be a great time for the song that the Holy Spirit gave me, but I left it in Texas. I'll try to do my best to remember the words, though:

Spread Your Love
(A knock at the door song)

Ki, Chi, the Source, The Force are just different names for God.
It's really very simple, but to you it may seem odd.
It's through the Holy Spirit that God spreads Jesus' love.
So let's all come together and spread peace from above.

Well, that's all I can remember at the moment, but you get the drift. I've posted it several times on Answers! and some people may be getting tired of it. lol Of course, I agree with most of your statements; however, if people don't discuss things, how will they learn? The "religious" need to get off their "high horses" and show some compassion for sure. You can call me spiritual, but PLEASE don't call me RELIGIOUS! ;)

Love, Hope, Peace, & Christ Be With You,

Cal-el & Swissy

You have a great point to your question. I believe to look at a person's intentions or actions not their color, religion, sex, or nationality. Sometimes people can just be plain ignorant and others get frustrated dealing with them. I try to ignore rather than respond to their comments. Answers has a lot of great information on it, and a lot of people that do genuinely want to help out one another. I hope people will start to use their mind and thik before they type otherwise answers will just be another kiddie playground!

For some reason, people tend to lend more credence to the 10 commandments and living their lives to conform to them more so than paying attention to the seven deadly sins. I have found that if I try to avoid pride, envy, lust, gluttony, anger, greed and sloth that I am a better person. Of course, the key word above is TRY. I am a mortal and am subject to the same failures as any mortal. I say again--I TRY.

The physique imitates conduct, cultures, virtues, vices etc. keeping in view of my superb information and all of them, as quickly as I choose somebody doing opposite I accuse them. Its completely lack of expertise.
