im just lost about god, and want someone to talk to , i need to understand things but i no longer hve my bible, i will get another 1 but which 1 i dont no, some i was told u can not buy unless u are in that religon

Louise, you can start by telling God that you want to know Him.
He has promised in His Word that those who sincerely want to know Him will. He loves you.
Yes, by all means get another Bible. Go into a bookstore like Barnes and Noble and look around in the Religion section. With Christmas approaching I've noticed through the years, that bookstores start stocking up on Bibles so you'll have a good selection.
There are lots and lots of excellent Bibles available on the market these days. There are Bibles in several modern day translations which can be very helpful with people who are just starting to read it. There are devotional Bibles and study Bibles and Bibles to help you read the whole Bible in one year. The first Bible that I read from cover-to-cover was The Daily Walk Bible. It was so good I couldn't put it down and I finished it in 90 days!
It sounds like you might be confusing the Christian Bible with the religious books of non-Christian religions, although I don't know what troubles you might encounter buying a Bible outside of the U.S.

You really need to talk to somebody. You seem to be so very confused. It appears that you are not a Christian since, as you say,you cannot get a Bible since you are not one. This shows your innocence. Any Christian would be glad to spare his Bible for you and in fact gift one to you if he iknows you are interested. Now it is not clear whether your confusion is only about the Christian god in which case you better peruse the Bible and form your own impression. But if you are a non-Christian you may also see relavant books of the other religion to which you may belong.

We use The Thompson Chain-Reference Bible, King James version. It is a study Bible and has a wealth of information for personal understanding!

why do you feel lost about 'god'? have you seen him or her? i think god is in each of us,if we feel good about ourselves,then we feel a sort of confidence and a purpose to live.but if we are negative in our thoughts and deeds ,then we find no purpose in our lives. secondly, no longer having, a bible around does not mean the end of the world.you can still feel loved and love things or people around you.how does or can a bible help?a holy book of all religions profess the same meaning.but then it all depends on how much of it is practical to our lives.if you imbibe the true meaning of the words in these holy books, i'm sure you'll find solace in all of them.if you look around in a positive frame of mind at all that you see and do ,you wont need any holy book to inspire or guide you. afterall these books were written by persons like you and me ,not some super-natural creatures.thirdly one does'nt have to belong to a particular faith to buy a holy book. i say you buy them all and absorb whats good in all of them. you can invent your own faith and religion if you need to,so what. do you really think the people who are ardent followers of established religions, are really true and actually do good?

As long as you live in the US you can purchase and read and follow any religion you choose. Go to a local church that you would like to attend and tell the pastor you need a bible usually in a chruch they will be very glad to give you one. And talk to you. never heard that statement before as any version of the HOLY BIBLE you want to purchase you can as far as I know. If the bookstores don't have what version you want either try the Internet or have the bookstore special order it.

You can buy bibles without being Christian. As an atheist, I believe that you will be happier once you come to the conclusion that religion is a facade, and god does not exist, but whatever you believe, feel free to pursue it.
