It is a known fact that The Bible has multiple versions (apart from the translations) but I was just curious about The Torah. Do different version exist, and if yes, how many are there? Remember, translations into different languages do not count. Different version means that I was to compare them side by side, one would contain words that the other will not have.

The nazis just came to town and they had a big demonstration at the capitol. I don't understand why they were allowed to do this, other than the whole "free speech" thing. But should we really have to tolerate speech that is hateful? Why are these crazy people still following Hitler? Any other thoughts?

I think its A bunch of crap, you try to tell me once your saved you automatically go to heaven. I don't think so, even if you blaspheme you can go to heaven. according to this phrase everyone is going to heaven, so tear out the page in your bible that says few be that find the way and broad and wide is the path that leads to distruction

I asked what hypothetical evidence, if it existed, would theists accept as proof that god doesn't exist.

No theist would answer this, even hypothetically. Every one admitted that there is no evidence at all that they would accept as proof that god doesn't exist.

I respect your honesty & faith

Now, science is a method used to understand the world, and works by proposing a testable & falsifiable hypothesis, & then trying to find evidence inconsistent with the hypothesis, so as to DISprove (not prove) it.

If you are admitting that you will not accept ANY evidence as being contrary to your god, then that logically precludes any attempt to study it scientifically.

I respect people who admit that their belief in god is based on faith alone

But why do *some* people lie and claim that there is scientific evidence of god or creation, when it is logically impossible?

No offence to anybody, If there is not a supernatural being who care for us in providing us the food through the mother natural and some may term as ecology system, would we be able to survive on planet earth? We need not a PHD to tell us how complex life is the vastness of universe. Not to mention the many forms of natural disasters such as tornado, earthquake, tsunami etc, which may render much impact but most of us may take for granted in living a peaceful life day in and out, except places like Japan which standby for earthquakes most of the time etc. What's your thoughts

I will not mention any particulars but I have seen many posts that people answered stating things that make no sense. That show they have no idea about what a faith or denomination believe or practice? Do we believe what we have heard about everyones faith or do we seek, ask and learn for ourselves?

There are numerous texts that depict various religious beliefs and tenants. I do not think any of them should be shunned on the mere word of man (human). It has been proven that the old testament of the bible is a rewriting of older texts found in Egypt (Egyptian Book of the Dead), where Moses grew up, were Solomon spent some time, and where Jesus spent some time (all considered great in the bible).

However, several versions have been written, re-written, and edited some more. Irenaeus of Lyons was the first to decide that the new testament only required 4 gospels (all of which were originally written anonymously) and chose which 4 to put in, denouncing the others as heresy.

However, the majority of the 'others' say that Jesus speaks of the greatest con of man of all time being that the god that is worshipped by people is actually the evil one. For Jesus has both a mother and father in the aeons that have never been seen by any one.
