Dear nemomail24
A fair question, a fair question indeed.
AS a Jew I am certain that you, unlike so called christians, the bible is not about religion, it is about Israel, all twelve tribes not just the tribe of Juda. Me to.
I am not Jew . However I do observe Passover--Days of Unleavened Bread--Feast of Trumpets--Day of Atonement--Feast of huts--The last great day.
A Christian with a Jewish attitude. There are christians and then there are Christians. There is no ever burning hell, never was never will be. Hell is a creation of Durante degli Alighieri, better known as Dante Alighieri or simply Dante, (c. June 1, 1265 – September 13/14, 1321) The Roman Chtholic church took it and ran with it. Most, not all of the Christian Churches followed the Catholic Church in this belief.
Please understand it is not wise to take any man's word for anything to include so called Christians, Preachers, and yes Rabbis, so prove all things for yourself from the pages of the Bible, Torah, and even history books.

Because I believe the bible, all of it, new testament and old, to be the inspired word of God. In the book of John, the first chapter, it says in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God...the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (that's Jesus).
Jesus made the statement that He was the only way to the Father (also book of John, 14:6). And of course, throughout the new testament, it is repeated: there is no other name under heaven by which anyone might be saved (than Jesus Christ). These are only a couple of verses from the bible: there are more that back up both Jesus' divinity and that He is the only way to heaven; but I didn't want to take up a huge amount of space.
Thank you for your question, and you put it very nicely, too.

Not all Christian churches believe Jesus was God the Father. Some believe He was the Son of God and a completely separate entity than the Father. Checkout this page, at http://www.gnmagazine.org/booklets/JC/whoandwhat_familyofgod.htm , from the free booklet called "Jesus Christ: The Real Story." The literature put out by The Good News magazine, at http://www.gnmagazine.org/litreq/index.htm , is just what a Jew interested in Jesus should study.
Also, checkout the booklet "Heaven & Hell: What Does The Bible Really Teach?", at http://www.gnmagazine.org/booklets/HL/ , for the truth about heaven and hell.

Well, I am not really educated in Judaism....but I am interested in the subject. Not all christians believe that. I believe Jesus was and is the son of God and God sent his son here as a sacrifice to die for our sins.....and if we don't accept Jesus Christ as our savior and deny him and not change our evil ways we will go to hell. That is what we should believe, I thought that is what the Jewish believe also, and I know that the Jews are God's chosen people. And anyone not Jewish are gentiles, salvation was offered to the Jews first, then God had a plan and Saul of Tarsus, a christian killer got converted and his named changed to Paul and went on missionary trips and preached on salvation for the gentiles, so then it was offered to us. That is what I believe.

Does it not say in the scriptures that God would send His Son to save the people and it would take care of the sacrificial system that was in place before He died on the cross? He was that answer to the prophecies, they pointed to Him. When He was baptized, the clouds parted and God the Father said, This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. What more proof do you want than God telling you that Jesus was His Son and was therefore God? Jesus said that nobody would go to the Father or Heaven but by Him. No believe, no get to Heaven. Simple as that. If you choose not to believe all the evidence as well as the bible, why would you want to go to Heaven?

I will apologize forehand for answering your question and not being Christian. Christians say that Jesus is God because part of the Christian Bible, the "New Testament" makes it clear that Jesus is God. So it's all a matter of what parts of the Bible you accept. Jesus said that "I and the Father are one", alluding to the thought that Jesus was equal with God (the Father). According to Christianity, you go to hell for not believing in Jesus as Lord and Savior because Jesus said "I am the way, the life and the truth: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." In that verse, Jesus plainly states that he is the only way to Heaven. Of course, not being Christian myself, I believe that there are many ways to Heaven, Jesus being one of them. I believe Jewish people such as yourself will be saved by following the Mosaic Law.

The fact is Jesus is God, in the same way that you are, whatever your last name is. If Your dads name is Johnson, and you are born of your dad, then your last name is Johnson. Similarly, Jesus is the Son of God, He is God.
Now the Bible also says Jesus is the Word of God, think about God being the truth, well if all God says is true, then He cannot lie, and He is only as true as His Word. So since God is His Word, then Jesus (The Word of God) is God. Please dont try to think of God or Jesus as just letters on a page, think of them as literally completely True. Thats why Jesus is God.
I don't know about Hell, but I do know that based on Romans 10:9-10 If you believe in your heart the Lord Jesus and confess with your mouth that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Depends on who you listen to.
Paul (Saul) in the bible Said Jesus sort of annexes Christians (Gentiles) into the Jewish Chosen People thing.
A lot of Jews beleive you have to be truly born Jewish, otherwise what house do you come from?
It's a way in for Christians.
Jews, Good Jews, at least, those who follow the traiditions, are said to be the Chosen people.
Remember, however, God lets you in based on your deeds in the world.
If you're going to be a Jew, be a good Jew, religiously at least.
That doesn't necessarily mean kill the Arabs more than it means remember the Exdous and keep the faith.
Maybe that 4th glass is for us Gentiles and Christians as well!

Ahem. Jesus is Lord because the Bible tells us so. You're reading the first part but not the second part silly. Being a Jew you should like the second part. Jesus was a Jew so you'll have something in common with Him. Praise Jesus!

Because they do not really understand the fact that there is only ONE God, and that Jesus and all of the others were Prophets of God, not God in the flesh.
As for the other, it is a scare tactic. IMHO, a loving God will welcome all who have lived a good and kind life, even or maybe especially Atheists because most of them live righteous lives because it is the right thing to do, not to build points for the afterlife.
If heaven has the likes of Bush, Falwell, Robertson and their ilk in it I would rather go to my faith's Hell.
BTW, I am Baha'i
