There are numerous texts that depict various religious beliefs and tenants. I do not think any of them should be shunned on the mere word of man (human). It has been proven that the old testament of the bible is a rewriting of older texts found in Egypt (Egyptian Book of the Dead), where Moses grew up, were Solomon spent some time, and where Jesus spent some time (all considered great in the bible).

However, several versions have been written, re-written, and edited some more. Irenaeus of Lyons was the first to decide that the new testament only required 4 gospels (all of which were originally written anonymously) and chose which 4 to put in, denouncing the others as heresy.

However, the majority of the 'others' say that Jesus speaks of the greatest con of man of all time being that the god that is worshipped by people is actually the evil one. For Jesus has both a mother and father in the aeons that have never been seen by any one.

If this is also true, then is the one that Mohammed saw and the one Moses spoke with the devil or is it god?

It has become apparent by these answers that most do not see that the god of the bible (old testament mainly) is not the god Jesus refers to as his father.

Why do most not want to read the rest of the story that has yet to be tainted as much as the bible texts have?

This is not a debate. This is a very serious question to me.

Nag Hammadi Library Texts - written at the same time of the four gospels - include the Gospel of Judas and the Gospel of Thomas. Has any one else read these yet?

Yes they are available on line. The gospel of thomas is my favorite. It sounds a lot more like Jesus than the nonsense in the bible.

As for satan, In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

I'm certainly not religious, but I suspect that the God referred to in the Bible could well be Satan.

The Bible is just a man-made play script, with several actors God, Devil, Jesus, Satan, Adam, Eve etc, and of course some intriguing imaginary places like Heaven, Hell, Purgatory and Limbo.

I certainly don’t believe in the Bible and I doubt any reasonably intelligent person would either. However, if you view the Bible as a man-made play script, with several actors God, Devil, Jesus, Satan, Adam, Eve, Noah, and so on, then you can certainly start to see a clever interwoven plot, that the audience is unaware of. It’s really just a drama thriller with clever twists.

You see, if you seriously think about it in an unbiased manner, then clearly the actor God in the Bible could really be the Devil, and the audience (religious believers) are being sucked into being the bad guys, who then use religion to get everyone fighting each other.

On the other hand, the more intelligent audience (Atheists) spot the plot and try their best to teach believers that this is just nonsense, stop getting sucked in. Some people have over time decided that the play is real. That's very sad.

People can just believe whatever they wish, the Bible is all just fantasy.

God and Satan are very definitely different. Satan was an angel in heaven who got too big for his boots and was then expelled by God.
As an Angel, Satan (or Lucifer) was a created being - God by contrast was not created but has always 'been'.
In some senses God and Satan are at war and you can't be at war with yourself!

BTW it has not been proven that the Old Testament is a rewriting of the Egyptian Books of the Dead, neither did Ireanaeus single handedly decide on the four gospels. But those are side issues.

Satsn was a fallen angel that was expelled from heaven by Heavenly Father for trying to run things his way and along with followers who had backed him up. He fought with the other angels namely "Michael" who was Jesus, to no avail and broke away from The Kingdom Of Heaven to pursue hir own agenda. Being which to lead righteous people away from the church and lead a life of sin. Resulting in a great apostasy.

God is the alpha and the omega, the first and the last, from everlasting to everlasting. Satan was an angel who was cast out of heaven for thinking he could exalt himself above God. He is a created being, and will end up in the lake of fire.

No, they are not the same.

Well I disagree strongly with that notion. If you place any trust in the historical accuracy of at least some of the bible then the bible nowhere supports that view, so who tempted Jesus in the bible? Himself? Good and evil are on opposite sides.
God is Light and in Him there is no darkness at all.

From the overview, I do not believe in satan, firstly. All bad things that happen occur to teach us and test us. The bad things that people do to each other is not a question of God; it is a karma question. So from this view, yes, i could say that they are the same, as all is of God and therefore in control. satan is a scapegoat used to keep from owning misdeeds.

In my spiritual path, there is a devil, or so the Christians call him that. Anyway he is someone that we conjure and meet at the crossroads and he is a granter of wishes. He as with all of our entities have both male and female characteristics.
