to those who this question applies. i realize there some christians who don't think this way.

please read the question throughly and think before answering.

our founding fathers fought long and hard for a strong wall separating church and state. if you are a true a patriot and a believer in freedom and justice for all--and i do repeat--all, how do you justify supporting ideas and measures that are based on exclusive religious beliefs which not everyone in america shares? what makes you want to obstruct the rights to freedom of how others decide what is best for their own life (the very right that allows you to live the way you want to)?
ie: ban on gay marriage, anti-abortion measures...

This is possible because I believe that Bible is not meant to be taken literally. God is infinite and humans cannot understand the infinite so he/she had to use metaphors and parables to make the infinite understandable. For example, God making the world in 7 days does not literally mean 7 24 hour time periods. God is beyond the finite world of time. And when we speak of Adam and Eve, that is merely a symbol for the sinful nature of man and the relationships between man and woman. And so it goes with evolution. The evidence for evolution is so overwhelming that to call it "just a theory" is like calling gravity "just a theory" There is no question that all living things change and adapt to their environment. Life would have ceased long ago if this was not the case. God made the biological world in such a way that it would be possible for living things to adapt. Well, this is what I believe.I would be interested in your comments.

This is a square piece of plastic that goes to the front of the tombstone, and has 2 silver flat hangers on it to fold over the headstone. the flowers are then put in the front and a plastic tie holds the flowers on it. This was bought a couple of years from a little magazine my mom gets in the mail, and we haven't been able to find them since. We need 3 more is someone knows where to get them. I'm about to go to college and my mom is being real strict about how I dress and what I do. I dress like a boy now and she wants me to wear girl clothes. She she does this because she dosen't want people to think I am gay. She says people will not like me if they think I am gay and will tease me. I am gay, but she dosen't know. I don't like her trying to change me but, I feel I have to listen to her because I am still living with her until I go to college. What should I do to get her to stop changing the way I am? Should I tell her that I am gay? I will be going to college with my sister who will tell on me in a second if she found out I was gay.

I just quit working for my sister. Her boyfriend keeps making passes at me. I kept telling her I don't want him there when I babysit and she wont listen. Yesterday he came in the house with a pickle he had bought. He said look at my pickle. Its a big pickle huh. I looked over at the pickle and he was holding it like a d!@k. I was grossed out. He then asked me to look at his pickle again. I refused to. He kept asking me to look at it and said I have a big one. I got the biggest pickle. Its hot too. I was discussed. He is always touching me and over me and trying to get close to me. One day I was trying to show him something on my computer and gay porn popped up. I tried to take it off quickly and he said no, let it play. I said, h@!! no! He then asked me why do I have white guys on my porn. I said I like them. He said why dont I date black guys. I told him because I dont want to. He patted me on my a$$ and she saw. She said dont be touching my brothers a$$. She didnt want to hear why.

I was talking to two Muslim brothers friends of mine (from Yemen) and they explained to me that beheading was not done out of cruelty but to bring the body in harmony with Allah.

Basically, when you cut a person's head that forces the evil spirits that cause that person to reject Allah to flee in pain from his or her body, giving that person a last chance to accept Allah in his or her heart (that's why it's the punishment for infidels).

I'm an atheist, but I find such explanation interesting--it will establish a link with the Catholic Inquisition, which also used torture to purify the body from the Devil and allow God to enter the penitent's soul before he or she died.

Can any Muslim confirm this?

Whether they live here in the US or encounter US citizens abroad, there is a lot of hostility toward "Americans". I'd just like to hear in the words on non-"Americans" why they take out their dislike of US policies and lifestyles on individual citizens.
