No, it's far more likely that our endlessly complex universe and the intricate biodiversity on Earth was created by God than randomly assembled itself. Physics tells us that the universe is moving towards chaos and disorder yet evolution claims that life went the opposite direction through survival of the fittest. This is, of course, covered when it is said that systems can become more complex at the expense of other systems. However, what do you think the odds are of finding a planet that has the potential to sustain life and then having life grow completely randomly out of the ol' primordial soup? Is it more likely for a thousand thrown coins to land on heads or for someone to place them all heads up?

God is not imaginary. one thing i cant stand is when atheist gedt on here and they have nothing itellegent to say. it is always thats a load of crap, or this is BS, or something along the lines of some little quip that makes them sound smart.

YOU ARE NOT SMART

i do respect those who have a good reason to believe what they do and defend it itellectually instead of simply saying it just into so because it isnt. what kind of logic is that. IT ISNT. its like me saying God is real because God is God. what kind of statement is that. i do however do my best to defend God and it is insulting
when half-witted atheist or so they call themselves start talking and never go anywhere.

Is God imaginary? God is as real as you want him to be. if you follow him he will be close to you.

NO, he is not imaginary. God is very real and He is for all of us....yes, even you!

You don't have to accept Him this very minute, but when you do it will be a huge celebration.

It will be like the the poor woman finding her lost coin, or the shepherd who saved his lost sheep from falling down the mountain, or the day that the prodigal son came back home to his father.

Welcome home, son!

They're all imaginary friends, with different names. There is way too much scientific evidence disputing the bible for any thinking person to believe otherwise. Most holy artifacts don't stand up to scientific testing, which is why the church tends to not allow the testing to be done, or refute the evidence when it disproves their beliefs (the shroud of Turin is one of the best examples here).

Absolutely. There's something known as Pascal's Wager, which in my opinion is why many people believe in God (see chdoctor's reply). It essentially states that if a person believes in God and God does not exist all they've lost are the Sunday mornings spent in church and the money they've donated. However, if a person doesn't believe in God and God does exist then that person is going to Hell. Essentially, believing in God is the much safer alternative, so that's what people do.

It must help to call God "imaginary." I imagine it's easier to delude yourself into thinking you're not responsible to Him if you pretend He doesn't exist. After all, if He does exist, then you're up a proverbial creek without a paddle.
