Most don't, actually, and in my experience, just as many straight people call others those things. It's not really about the fact that straights can reproduce. It's derogatory, yes, and like all derogatory labels, it comes from a negative emotion, in this case anger. People are reacting to the assumption and pressure that 20- and 30-somethings feel to settle down and have kids. If you're not into that lifestyle, gay or straight, you will find that your bestest friends, favorite, most open-minded relatives, and strangers alike will all treat you like you are immature or rebellious or misguided, and it can be really infuriating. It can make you feel better about your kid-free, non-suburban life to view (and refer to) those who go the traditional route as something mindless that animals (and bugs) do.

People got sick of the myriad of derogatory names that straights have for us, so they made up some derogatory names for straights. I think it's kind of a misguided response; probably feels good to be on the other side of that, but it's not gaining anyone's respect nor is it explaining to anyone who doesn't understand what we're all really about.


To the person who said they were offended: while I'm sure it was NOT a deliberate reference to white supremecists, that you're offended is kind of the point.

For me, the perception of having sex with yet another male is repulsive. i assume that typically, men and women each and every man or woman is stressed out in yet differently and that's purely the norm. besides the undeniable fact that, in both genders there are the occasional exceptions. You know, I understand the need for them to come up with their own derogatory comments. But I do find the word "Breeders" to be highly offensive, because I watched a documentary where white supremacists refer to "their" women as "Breeders"...you know for the white race.

They can only adopted or take care other's babies or orphans.And if a gay has a heterosexual.he will have a natural babies,but if he makes love with several women and these women did it with other gays,there is no legitimate evidence that the baby is his baby.

Some gays and some lesbians use those terms. It's kind of stupid if you ask me since there are quite a few gay/lesbian parents who have children and like me, had them the natural way.

There are gays/lesbians who don't want children just like there are heteros who don't want children. I say 'fug 'em!' lol
